Milestone 10th edition of PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards honour past, present achievers

Momentous occasion celebrates historic and recent achievements of outstanding real estate developers in over 50 categories, including inaugural awards

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam — PropertyGuru Group (NYSE:PGRU), Southeast Asia’s leading property technology company, today announced the winners of the 10th PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards at the Gem Center in Ho Chi Minh City.

This milestone edition, presented by Kohler and supported by Dulux Professional, Hafele, and V-ZUG Vietnam, celebrated the history-making achievements of developers in Vietnam across 51 categories, including titles awarded for the first time.

Gamuda Land garnered 13 golden statuettes in a historic night for the company. Among these, Gamuda Land was honoured as Best Developer, marking the company’s second win in this category. Its project Eaton Park won six accolades, including Best Luxury Condo Development (HCMC). The Meadow, another Gamuda Land project, garnered five wins, including Best Housing Development (HCMC).

CapitaLand Development (Vietnam) was hailed Best Sustainable Developer and received the inaugural Social Impact Award. The developer dominated the Best of Vietnam awards, winning Best Condo Development (Vietnam) for Define by CapitaLand – Thien Duc Company Limited as well as Best Housing Development (Vietnam) for The Orchard by Sycamore Company Limited. The company also won for such projects as The Senique Hanoi, as well as Orchard Hill by Sycamore Company Limited.

Supported by Batdongsan.com.vn, Vietnam’s leading property portal, this year’s gala event marked the 10th edition of the Awards in Vietnam, first hosted in 2015. To mark the momentous occasion, the programme conferred the Developers of the Decade awards for the first time, honouring previous winners such as CapitaLand Development (Vietnam); Ecopark; Gamuda Land; Keppel Vietnam; Khang Dien House Trading and Investment JSC; ParkCity Group; Phu Long Real Estates Corporation; and SonKim Land Corporation.

The ceremony also recognised the finest achievers in the industrial real estate segment. They include Core5 Vietnam, a member of Indochina Kajima, named Best Industrial Developer. Winning industrial projects include Rang Dong Textile Industrial Park (Aurora IP) by Cat Tuong Real Estate Group Joint Stock Company and SLP Park Long Hau by SEA Logistics (VN) Company Limited.

Alphanam Investment Joint Stock Company was entitled Best Lifestyle Developer while its project, The Residences at InterContinental Sapa, was awarded Best Branded Residential Development. Phu Long Real Estates Corporation gained the title of Best Community Developer, with its project Mailand Hoang Dong Lang Son winning Best Mega Township Development. Vietnam Germany Steel Pipe JSC was distinguished as Best Breakthrough Developer, accompanied by wins for the project Legend City.

Oh Dongkun, CEO of Becamex Tokyu Co., Ltd, accepted the prestigious Vietnam Real Estate Personality of the Year award from the team of Property Report by PropertyGuru, the official magazine. Becamex Tokyu Co., Ltd, itself won for the project Midori Park The Ten, alongside subsidiary SetiaBecamex, which won for The Glamour – EcoLakes My Phuoc.

The first Rising Star award went to Nguyen Hoang Viet, managing director for sales, marketing, and customer service at SonKim Land, chosen by Batdongsan.com.vn, the official portal.

The Sustainable Design Award also debuted with Keppel Vietnam as its first recipient. Keppel Vietnam also won for Gladia By The Waters, a joint venture with Khang Dien, and the project Hanoi Centre.

Thaihomes Real Estate Development Joint Stock Company won for the projects ThaiGrand Casa Riva and ThaiSquare The Merit. Orient Success International Investment Joint Stock Company (OSI Holdings) also gained two wins for the project Oriental Square by OSI while Van Phuc Group received two wins for Van Phuc City.

Other winning projects this year include CityMark Residence by Tumys Homes; Ecovillage Saigon River by Ecopark; Gem Park by N.H.O – National Housing Organization; Meypearl Harmony Phu Quoc by Tan A Dai Thanh – Meyland Real Estate Development Investment Joint Stock Company; The Nelson Private Residences by HDMon Group JSC; and The West by Gateway Hanoi JSC.

The independent panel of judges consists of Thien Duong, general director, GroupGSA Vietnam; Chau Ta, executive director – legal transactions, SC Capital Partners Pte Ltd; David Jackson, principal and CEO, Avison Young Vietnam; Hang Dang, managing director, CBRE (Vietnam) Co., Ltd; Jack Nguyen, Vietnam CEO, InCorp Vietnam; Jean-Francois Chevance, group director of hospitality and design, Archetype Group; Mauro Gasparotti, director, Savills Hotels APAC; and Paul D. Volodarsky, partner, head of regional real estate practice, head of hospitality sector, DFDL Legal and Tax.

The winners were also determined by specialists in the Hanoi market, namely Andras Germ, general manager, Astra; Douglas Lee Snyder, executive director, Vietnam Green Building Council; and Tran Quynh Trang, director, Sapphire Indochina.

Supervising the selection process was the team of AASC – HLB Vietnam, led by Do Manh Cuong and Lan Ng Hoang. The official supervisor is part of the “2024 Network of the Year” winner HLB International, the global network of independent professional accounting firms and business advisers.
