Presented by global brand Kohler, the PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards is the most respected and most sought-after real estate industry awards programme. The event is part of the regional PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards series established in 2005. With a professionally run and supervised judging system, the Asia Property Awards is the gold standard in real estate.
Thien Duong is a Canadian Vietnamese architect who carries the distinction of being a Chartered Architect with the Royal Institute of British Architects as well as Masterplanner. With an extensive background of over 25 years, he has contributed to significant architectural projects across various continents including Europe, North America, Africa, and Oceania. As a committed member of the Vietnam Green Building Council’s board of directors since its establishment, Thien has played a key role in shaping sustainable architecture practices. He is the Studio Leader of the award-winning Australian firm, GroupGSA in Vietnam, leveraging his local insight and international experience in sustainability to set new benchmarks in design and technology.
As the Managing Director for CBRE Vietnam with total staff of over 940 professionals, Hang oversees all CBRE Vietnam business activities as a strategic advisor to investors, occupiers and developers across the residential, commercial and industrial markets.
Hang will service the real estate property requirements of the many multi-national corporations with a presence in Vietnam as well as local developers and investors.
In the last 29 years, Hang has been in various leadership positions in real estate firms. She spent nearly 3 years in Vingroup, one of Vietnam’s leading real estate developers where she was Chairwoman of Vincom Office and Deputy Managing Director of Vincom Retails directly responsible for driving the sales revenue of the companies. Hang began her real estate career in Richard Ellis handling research, consultancy and brokerage and later took on the Managing Directorship at Cushman & Wakefield’s Vietnam operations. As a member of management team, Hang had joined Cushman & Wakefield from day one and built the company to become one of the leading real estate service providers in Vietnam.
Mauro Gasparotti
Director, Savills Hotels and Director & Founder, WeHub
Mauro directs all Savills Hotels SE Asian operations. Alongside business development, his extensive industry expertise guides hotel investment and consultancy, feasibility studies, cash flow alongside market analyses, project consultancy and operator selection. Mauro is also highly competent with asset and development site valuation modelling.
Besides managing the development of Savills Hotels team, Mauro is an active member of the industry and founded WeHub. The community platform hosts signature hospitality events like Meet The Experts, HoSkar Night and See It First Masterclass. Mauro uses these platforms to share his expertise and support other industry professionals. Mauro is also known as a judge for the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards, the region’s most respected real estate award that celebrates the achievers in the world’s most dynamic markets.
Before revitalizing Savills APAC Hotels, Mauro was co-founder and Executive Director of Alternaty Real Estate which, within 5-years became Indochina’s leading hospitality consultancy. He has also headed up CBRE Vietnam Hotel Services after being their Senior Valuation and Advisory Manager. Prior to joining CBRE, Mauro worked with Ernst & Young.
Jean-Francois Chevance
Group Director of Hospitality and Design, Archetype Group
Jean-Francois Chevance is the Director of Hospitality & Design for Archetype Group. He has worked on numerous projects across Asia since joining Archetype in 2003. With more than 26 years of design experience, including 25 years in South East Asia, Jean-François has earned extensive recognition as an architect, project director and design director from his work on a wide range of projects, from office and residential buildings to large-scale master plans, from hotels and resorts to high-rise buildings and airport facilities.
Chau Ta
Executive Director – Legal Transactions, SC Capital Partners Pte Ltd
As the Executive Director, Legal Transaction for SC Capital Partners Group, Chau leads all legal transactions for SC Capital Pan Asia including Australia and Vietnam.Chau is highly experienced in real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, international corporate/commercial law, and has been living and working in Vietnam for 14 years. She launched the first annual AusCham - Vietnam Real Estate Symposium in 2012, now on its 8th year.She is a Foundation Member of Australian Chamber of Commerce Asean (AustCham ASEAN), was its Vice Chair in 2019, and have been serving as Chair in 2020 until 2021.She also sits on the Australia Vietnam Leadership Dialogue Advisory Board, the Corporate Advisory Board for UNICEF Vietnam, the Asean-Australia Education Dialogue Advisory Committee. Chau is Australian raised, bread-fed educated lawyer, with a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws (Honors) and Master of International Law (Honors) from University of Sydney.
Mr. Nguyen has over 25 years of international executive accounting, finance and investments experience having worked in Canada, the United States and Vietnam, in both publicly listed and private companies.
Mr. Nguyen graduated with an Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree, Co-operative Program, Chartered Accountancy Studies in 1995 in University of Waterloo, Canada. Mr. Nguyen has both Canadian CPA and Vietnam CPA professional designations.
Mr. Nguyen started his career working for Big 4 accounting firms for 12 years in Canada, USA and Vietnam. Mr. Nguyen then held successive senior finance executive roles at a large publicly listed real estate company in Canada, a high-tech health care company in Canada, after which he returned to Vietnam in 2012 to join one of the biggest investment firms in the country as a Fund CFO.
Prior to joining Talentnet, Mr. Nguyen was a Partner and Head of Business Development for an international accounting firm and before that, Mr. Nguyen was the Managing Director and Country Head at a leading global business process outsourcing firm. Mr. Nguyen was responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Vietnamese operations (including offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi).
David Jackson has practiced Commercial Real Estate for 20 years and been operating in South East Asia since 2008. He is currently the Principal and CEO of Avison Young Vietnam, managing the company’s operational aspects along with setting the strategic vision and goals. He has expertise in managing business, capital markets, transactional management, and valuations and advisory.
David has an MSc in Surveying; is a Fellow of RICS; a Member of SIOR and a Certified Member of BIFM. He is a keen advocate for technology and sustainable building practices, as well as diversity and inclusion in the workplace. He is also a pioneer in charity donations to Hope School, a school for disabled children.
Freek Jansen
Branch Manager SEA, Dewan Architects and Engineers
Freek Jansen is Branch Manager of Dewan Architects + Engineers for the Vietnam Studio and in charge of the Southeast Asian region. He holds a master’s degree in architecture from Technical University in Delft, Netherlands and has more than 10 years of experience in the Southeast Asia market in general. With his extensive skills, knowledge, accumulated experiences and as Branch Manager, Freek Jansen has his role in developing and managing the team to bring constant quality to all Clients, as well as combining his international knowledge and local culture to strengthen the quality offerings. Over his career, Freek has overseen projects in various regions in Southeast Asia, and his portfolio includes a diverse range of projects, with notable knowledge in hospitality.
Andras is founder and director of the Hanoi based project and construction management firm, ASTRA Construction Consultancy. He has more than 20 years expertise in the project management field, from which 13 years in Vietnam. His practice has overseen numerous hospitality and housing projects throughout Vietnam as project director and construction manager.
With focus on the final built quality of the projects Andras consults Investors and operators from early on, throughout project conceptualization, design and procurement phases as these phases have a substantial determining effect on the resulting built quality.
Andras has been a judge on the Property Awards panel continuously since 2016.
Douglas Snyder
Executive Director, Vietnam Green Building Council
Douglas Snyder is Executive Director of the Vietnam Green Building Council. With over 25 years’ sustainable development experience, Douglas has worked on public, institutional, industrial, educational, hospitality, health, commercial, and residential development projects in the US and SE Asia. Douglas was Deputy Director of Sustainable Design for ARDOR Architects (2016-2021), green building expert (2014) in USAID’s Vietnam Clean Energy Project, and founder of his own US green building firm (2004-2016). Other past project partners include the World Bank, UNDP, ADB and Vietnam government ministries. Douglas has his M.S., Organizational Management, SIT Graduate Institute and B.S., Environmental Studies, State University of New York.
Trang has more than 20 years of experience in Project Management, Marketing and Property Asset Management. She's passionate about helping people find solutions for their projects in terms of business plans, design concept ideas and implementations.
Trang is the Director of SIIC (Sapphire Indochina Investment Consulting Co., Ltd.), a Consulting company focused on Investment, Retail services and Property Management. Some of her prior roles include Senior Retail Manager in CBRE; Manager of Project Management Department in Big C Vietnam, one of biggest supermarket channel in Vietnam.
Trang, since 2019 is playing the role in Judging Panel of Asia Property Awards, a region's largest and most respected Real Estate Awards.
Trang holds a Master degree of Project Management from Nantes University - France. She involved directly over 40 projects in Vietnam, Laos and Thailand.
The PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards gala dinner and awards presentation ceremony will be held will be held on Friday, 24 October 2025 at Gem Center Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
