The culminating event is part of the regional PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards programme established in 2005. Best Developer (Hong Kong and Macau)

Must have completed at least 2 residential, commercial, hospitality developments in Hong Kong or Macau since January 2017. Companies that enter Developer categories must also enter at least 1 development or design category.

Best Boutique Developer (Hong Kong and Macau)

Must have completed at least 1 boutique residential, commercial or hospitality developments in Hong Kong or Macau since January 2017. Boutique developments. Companies that enter Developer categories must also enter at least 1 development or design category.

Best Hospitality Developer (Hong Kong and Macau) 

Must have completed at least 1 hospitality development in Hong Kong or Macau from 2017 to present. Hospitality developments include hotel and resort projects. Companies that enter Developer categories must also enter at least 1 development or design category.

Best Mixed Use Developer (Hong Kong and Macau)

Must have completed at least 1 mixed use development in Hong Kong or Macau from 2017 to present. Mixed-Use developments should include a minimum of two interconnected components: residential, retail, office, hospitality, medical, entertainment etc. Companies that enter Developer categories must also enter at least 1 development or design category.

Special Recognition Awards

Special Recognition in ESG (Hong Kong and Macau)

All shortlisted developers will be invited to submit details of their ESG activities. There is no direct entry for this category.  The criteria used to judge developers’ eligibility for this award includes:

  • Environmental features, systems and technology
  • Social responsibility and diversity approaches
  • Corporate governance and employee benefits

Special Recognition in Sustainable Design and Construction (Hong Kong and Macau)

All shortlisted developers will be invited to submit details of their Sustainable Design activities. There is no direct entry for this category.  The criteria used to judge developers’ eligibility for this award includes:

  • Environmentally friendly design features
  • Low impact materials selection
  • Design durability and lifecycle assessment

Special Recognition for Asset Management & Leasing (Hong Kong and Macau)

Open to developer-owned management and leasing service providers with a portfolio of high quality properties
that cater to the needs of long term residents or commercial tenants.

Best Condo Development (Hong Kong)

Open to condominiums and apartments. The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and before December 2025. Must have a show unit. 

Best Housing Development (Hong Kong)

Open to development with more than 4 units of houses and/or villas. The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and before December 2025. Must have a show unit. Phases of multiphase development are eligible for entry. 

Best Condo Development (Macau)

Open to condominiums and apartments. The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and before December 2025. Must have a show unit. 

Best Housing Development (Macau)

Open to development with more than 4 units of houses and/or villas. The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and before December 2025. Must have a show unit. Phases of multiphase development are eligible for entry.

Best Connectivity Condo Development (Hong Kong and Macau)

Open to condominiums and apartments which located less than 400m from closest transit station (Multi Modal Transport) or major highways.The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and before December 2025. Must have a show unit.

Best Connectivity Housing Development (Hong Kong and Macau)

Open to developments with more than 4 units of houses and/or villas which located less than 400m from closest transit station (Multi Modal Transport) or major highways.The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and before December 2025. Must have a show unit

Best Waterfront Condo Development (Hong Kong and Macau)

Open to condominiums and apartments which located no further than 1km from a body of water like a lake, river, canal, or ocean. The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and before December 2025. Must have a show unit

Best Waterfront Housing Development (Hong Kong and Macau)

Open to developments with more than 4 units of houses and/or villas which located no further than 1km from a body of water like a lake, river, canal, or ocean. The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and before December 2025. Must have a show unit

Best Branded Residential Development (Hong Kong and Macau)

Open to Residential property managed and operated by an International hospitality brand. The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and before December 2025. Must have a show unit

Best Integrated Work From Home Development (Hong Kong and Macau)

Open to a project with shared and own workspace amenity as part of a housing/apartment/condo project that can be used only by residents/tenants. The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and before December 2025. Must have show unit

Best Pet - Friendly Residential Development

Open to condominiums, apartments, houses and villas. The project must allow residents to keep pets within their property and common areas. The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and before December 2025. Must have show unit

Best Health and Wellness Development  

Open to residential projects that offer facilities and services that especially cater to senior citizens, such as daily fitness activities, onsite healthcare, senior-friendly surroundings and social programmes. The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and before December 2025. Must have a show unit

Best Eco Friendly Condo Development (Hong Kong and Macau)

Open to condominiums and apartments that demonstrate the use of sustainable materials, technology or techniques but do not have official green certification. The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and before December 2025. Must have show unit

Best Eco Friendly Housing Development (Hong Kong and Macau)

Open to developments with more than 4 units of houses and/or villas that demonstrate the use of sustainable materials, technology or techniques but do not have official green certification. The development must be completed in the period between January January 2020 and December 2025.

Best Serviced Apartment Development (Hong Kong and Macau) 

The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and December 2025

Best Restoration Heritage Development (Hong Kong and Macau) 

The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and December 2025. Must have a show unit.

Best Eco Friendly Commercial Development

Open to Commercial that demonstrate the use of sustainable materials, technology or techniques but do not have official green certification. The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and December 2025. Must have show unit

Best Smart Building Development  

Open to residential and commercial development. The development must be innovative in the use of technology and be completed in the period between January 2020 and before December 2026. Must have a show unit. 

Best Green Development (Hong Kong and Macau) 

Open for Residential and Commercial Projects. The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and December 2025. Open to developments with internationally recognized green certification (granted), including LEED, BCA Green Mark, WELL Building Standard, EDGE, BERDE, LOTUS, BREAAM, Green Star, and others. The developer must submit relevant documents, images and certifications to support each entry as evidence of: Energy saving systems Water management systems Waste management systems Health related features

Best Operational Hospitality Portfolio

Open to developers with at least 4 hospitality projects completed. Developers should submit their full project portfolio from 2017 to present. Projects will be judged based on published development and operational criteria.

Best Condo Architectural Design (Hong Kong and Macau) 

The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and December 2025. General design criteria include concept, form, use of space, design innovation, materials selection, longevity, environmental impact.

Best Housing Architectural Design (Hong Kong and Macau) 

The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and December 2025. The design criteria is applied to the full masterplan design and includes aesthetics, variety, accessibility, design innovation, materials selection, longevity, environmental impact.

Best Condo Interior Design (Hong Kong and Macau) 

The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and December 2025. General designl criteria include interior themes, colours, textures, finishing, functionality, relevance, innovation, safety, health, ease of maintenance.

Best Housing Interior Design (Hong Kong and Macau) 

The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and December 2025. General designl criteria include interior themes, colours, textures, finishing, functionality, relevance, innovation, safety, health, ease of maintenance.

Best Bespoke Residential Interior Design (Hong Kong and Macau)

Open to residential project designs that display a range of unique elements and features, all custom created to meet a specific client’s practical needs and aesthetic requirements. The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and December 2025.

The development must be completed in the period between January 2021 and December 2025. General criteria include consistency (flora & outdoor features), proportion, plant variety, innovation, accessibility, segmentation, special transition, ease of maintenance, environmental impact.
