Following the close of entries in May, a 14-member independent panel of judges discussed the merits of 35 developers that have entered the latest iteration of the awards. With 83 entries received, judges noted the rising quality and innovation of projects by emerging developers, vying for wider market share alongside more established industry players.
Datuk Ar. Ezumi Harzani Ismail, chairperson of the independent panel of judges, said: “Our Live Judging Days went smoothly, and it was clear that my fellow judges and I successfully worked toward a common goal: to recognise excellence in Malaysia’s property sector in a fair and transparent way. We were impressed by how developers are redefining standards in design and sustainability, all while responding to real market needs.”
Jules Kay, general manager of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events, said: “Our much-awaited Live Judging Days in Malaysia have ended with our panel of expert judges honouring excellence across the property sector in a fair, transparent, and credible way. Our judges tackled a high calibre of entries this year and were impressed with how they have raised the bar not only in development and design innovation but also in sustainability and social impact. We’re equally proud of how the People’s Choice Awards have allowed consumers to express their voice, voting for developers whom they think have made a real impact on their lives. We look forward to celebrating all the winners at our gala in Kuala Lumpur this October.”
