Sri Lanka, India developers compete for national accolades at 2021 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards

The organisers of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards, the region’s most exclusive and prestigious real estate awards programme, announced today the shortlist of developers and projects nominated to its Sri Lankan and Indian editions.

South Asia’s finest developers and projects will be garnering a wide variety of trophies and citations at the latest editions of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Sri Lanka) and PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (India), which will both be presented in innovative, interactive virtual gala broadcasts in December.

Top-notch property developers Home Lands Skyline (Pvt) Ltd and Kelsey Developments PLC dominated the shortlist of nominees for the 4th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Sri Lanka) 2021, which will be presenting the title of Best Lifestyle Developer for the first time. Home Lands Skyline (Pvt) Ltd also secured nominations for two projects, Canterbury Golf Resort Apartments and Canterbury Golf Villas, while Kelsey Developments PLC earned nominations for its Central Park Ja-Ela and Urban Gateway Kottawa developments.

Mumbai-based developer Sunteck Realty Ltd, as well as its massive SunteckWorld township project, secured nominations in all categories of the 2nd PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (India) 2021. This year’s programme has coveted honours at stake for the outstanding developer and project in Mumbai, as well as an accolade for achievements in landscape architecture.

The virtual gala broadcast presentations of the Indian and Sri Lankan awards programme will premiere Thursday, 9 December 2021 on AsiaPropertyAwards.com and its official livestreaming channels on Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Highlights of the show will be broadcast on the History Channel.

The shortlist of nominees for the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Sri Lanka) was determined by an independent panel of judges consisting of Dr. Nirmal De Silva, Awards Chairperson and Director and CEO, Paramount Realty; Emeritus Prof. Chitra Weddikkara, Managing Director, QServe Pte Ltd.; Nandike D. Samaranayake, Chartered Architect, AIA (SL); Natalie Pendigrast, Founder and Director, Pendi PVT Ltd;

Nilesh De Silva, Chartered Architect and Director, Kahawita De Silva & Associates Pvt Ltd (KDS); Roshan Madawela, Founding Director and CEO, RIU Real-Estate Intelligence Unit; Stephanie Balendra, Director, Homes N Spaces Lanka Properties (Pvt) Ltd.; and William Vincent Asoka Tilakawardane, Fellow of the Institute of Project Managers (Sri Lanka).

HLB is the official supervisor of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards. The virtual world of the 2021 PropertyGuru Asia Real Estate Summit, tackling the dynamism of the region’s proptech sector, will open 8 December.
