Leading Chinese companies vie for 2020 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau)

Top architecture and design practices join the finest developers and real estate partners in the Chinese territories for virtual gala event

• Virtual gala edition of prestigious real estate awards programme expanded to 33 mainland China categories, including titles for lifestyle and mixed-use developers; the Anjuke Home Furnishing & Decoration Awards; and best-of China accolades
• Three top developers from Hong Kong and Macau to compete in six Development and Design categories, including the title of Best Co-Living Space
• Nearly 40 projects from mainland China and seven projects from the special administrative regions shortlisted for such categories as Best Asset Enhancement Initiative, honouring superlative renovation projects across the country

BANGKOK, Thailand – 22 October 2020

The PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau), presented in association with Anjuke, part of leading Chinese online marketplace 58.com, announced today the shortlist of nominees that will be competing in its first virtual gala event and awards ceremony.

Twenty-four leading companies in mainland China and three of the top developers in the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau have been shortlisted for the unprecedented, prestigious edition of the awards programme, to air on Wednesday, 2 December via AsiaPropertyAwards.com and partner channels such as YouTube and Facebook.

This year, companies in mainland China will be vying for 33 categories, including titles for outstanding lifestyle and mixed-use developers and the new Anjuke Home Furnishing & Decoration Awards. Shortlisted residential projects will also have the chance to win in the coveted categories of Best Condo Development (China) and Best Housing Development (China).

Companies from Hong Kong and Macau will be competing in six categories, including the timely title of Best Co-Living Space.

This year’s edition of the awards will also include the prize of Best Asset Enhancement Initiative, recognising the most remarkable renovation projects in both the mainland and the special administrative regions.

Shortlisted companies this year include mainland China’s Huafa Industrial Share Co., Ltd. Zhuhai, which clinched the title of Best Developer (Greater Bay Area) in 2019, and Hong Kong’s Henderson Land Group, which garnered six wins and two Highly Commended citations last year. Huafa Central Park by Huafa Industrial Share Co., Ltd. Zhuhai is also nominated in this year’s awards, while Henderson Land Group secured nominations for four projects, namely 2 Murray Road, Aquila · Square Mile, Novum Point, and The Consonance.

Some of mainland China’s finest architecture and interior design practices will compete this year. Shortlisted practices include Bluetown Architects; GWP Architects; HZS DESIGN (SHANGHAI), LTD.; Lead8; MOD Architectural Design (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.; TONTSEN Architecture Design Co., Ltd.; and ShenZhen Trinity Interior Design.

Home furnishing brands and other real estate partners are also shortlisted alongside some of mainland China’s leading developers. These are CIMC City｜Gomdale Properties & lnvestment; DAIKIN; DOWELL GROUP & HUAYU GROUP & LVDU; Financial Street (Beijing) Real Estate Co., Ltd; Guangxi Tietou Daling Investment Co. Ltd; Henan Hongfeng Real Estate Co., Ltd; Nanjing Baoneng City Development Co., Ltd; OCEANO; Shanghai Panlong Tiandi Co., Ltd; Shanghai Ruihong Xincheng Co., Ltd; Shimao Group Suhu Branch; Wuxi Xingzhuo Real Estate Co. LTD; Xi’an Qujiang Xinsu Real Estate CO. LTD; Yango Group Hunan Branch Co., Ltd; Shanghai Kong Hui Property Development Co., Ltd.; and Shanxi Jintai Hengye Qinglong Real Estate Co., Ltd.

Henderson Land Group will join other shortlisted companies from the special administrative regions such as Phoenix Property Investors, which landed a nomination for its Tower 535 and O’South Coast (Monterey Place, Savannah Place, Capri Place) projects, and Everlux Limited & Oootopia Hospitality Management Limited, which were nominated for their Oootopia Tai Kok Tsui project.

Almost 40 projects from mainland China and seven projects from the special administrative regions have been shortlisted in this year’s awards.

BDO maintained the fairness and transparency of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau).
