2020 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Sri Lanka) gala night in Colombo will take place in November
Nominations are extended to August due to COVID-19 pandemic

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka –– 7 April 2020
In light of the ongoing global health crisis, the organisers of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards have made the responsible decision of postponing their black-tie gala dinner and award ceremony in Colombo, which will now take place on Friday, 6 November 2020, replacing the original date of 17 July.
The highly awaited affair, which will present accolades for the finest developers and projects in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, will be held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo. The hotel management will carry out temperature checks, provide access to hand sanitation, promote the use of face masks in high-risk areas, and implement other precautionary health measures leading up to and on the gala night.
Existing entries are judged as usual based on established criteria. The postponement extends the nominations period until 14 August; the general public is encouraged to submit their nominations via this link: https://www.asiapropertyawards.com/en/nominations
New key dates for the 2020 edition are:
- 14 August 2020 – Nominations Close
- 21 August 2020 – Entries Close
- 31 August-11 September 2020 – Site Inspections
- 11 or 14 September 2020 – Final Judging
- 6 November 2020 – Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony in Colombo, Sri Lanka
- 20 November 2020 – Grand Final Gala Dinner & Ceremony in Bangkok, Thailand
The team behind the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Sri Lanka) will remain vigilant and keep abreast of recommendations and developments from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Sri Lankan public officials.
