Top real estate developers gather for the 18th PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards 2023

Different developers across the country got together to celebrate the outstanding achievements in the industry with the hopes of receiving one of the awards bestowed at the event

On November 17th, notable developers from different sectors of Thailand’s real estate industry came together at The Athenee Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel, in Bangkok. The 18th PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards 2023 served as a celebration of the achievements in the country’s real estate industry.

The real estate sector in Thailand consistently reaches new peaks in its quest for excellence, establishing benchmarks and advocating for sustainable development. The awards ceremony stands as proof of the industry’s notable successes, acknowledging exceptional accomplishments, encouraging cooperation, and influencing the trajectory of real estate in Thailand.

The commencement of the event took place at 7:15 PM, marked by hosts Jack Prinya and Supapij Xoomsai Na Ayudhya extending a warm welcome. Subsequent to their opening statements, attention turned to a video presentation providing a preview of the forthcoming activities for the evening. Following a concise explanation of the awards format and the schedule for the evening, the other initial speakers were subsequently presented.

The lineup of speakers for the evening started with Mr. Jules Kay, presently holding the position of General Manager at PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards & Events. Following him were Mr. Dave Apirakviriya, General Manager of Think of Living and DDproperty (Developer), Ms. Suphin Mechuchep, Chairperson of the judges and CEO of Sen X Group PCL, and Mr. Paul Ashburn, Co-Managing Partner of HLB Thailand and a member of HLB International Real Estate Group.

The hosts of the night gave their thanks as well as a reminder about the dinner while introducing the Independent Panel of Judges. Chairperson of the panel was Suphin Mechuchep, as mentioned earlier. The other members of the Central Panel included Advisor of Mentabuild Limited Leong Choong Peng, Vice Chairman of the Singapore-Thai Chambers of Commerce Marciano Birjmohun, Design Principal at Jarken Co., Ltd Sasicimol Sinthawanarong, Director of Akatan Company Limited Chaiyuth Pete Thirangoon, Chairperson of the Department of Real Estate Dr. Sonthya Vanichvatana, President of Thai Real Estate Sales and Marketing Association Precha Suphapetiporn, COO of Chuchawal – Royal Haskoning Ltd. Chaivut Saengaram Ph.D., and CEO of Project Planning Service Public Company Limited Dr. Phongthon Tharachai.

The Regional Panel consisted of the Eastern Seaboard Regional Panel Head and Managing Director of Premier Homes Real Estate Co., Ltd. Clayton Wade, the Phuket Regional Panel Head and Partner from Hughes Krupica Robert Krupica, the Samui Regional Panel Head and Managing Director of Form Property George Willoughby, and the Regional Panel Head of Hua Hin and Managing Director of Vibrant Asia Co. Ltd. Russ Downing.

Before the awards were officially announced, the hosts greeted the different sponsors and collaborators in recognition of their efforts to help bring the event to life. The night’s hosts then gave a reminder that the panel of judges had conducted on-site assessments of the nominated projects within a specific time frame in order to decide each award’s recipient.

A diverse array of 63 awards was presented across various categories such as design, development, developer, special awards, and the best of Thailand. The announcement ceremony commenced with the design category, capping off with the 2023 Thailand Real Estate Personality of the Year title being given to the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pruksa Holding Public Company Limited, Mr. Thongma Vijitpongpun.

Following that, the development awards announcement commenced, kicking off with a sponsor video from Mitsubishi Elevator. After, the Best of Thailand awards and the Special Awards were presented. Expressing gratitude to the event’s sponsors and partners was followed by the announcement of the awards in the developer category. Sena Development clinched the coveted title of Best Developer in Thailand for 2023, concluding the night’s awards ceremony.

The 18th edition of the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards 2023 wrapped up with a collective photograph capturing the winners of the evening and distinguished guests gathered on stage. In a celebratory moment, they conveyed their congratulations to the recipients of the awards.
