The first-ever virtual 6th PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards attracts 11,700 global viewers
Honouring the nation’s finest in real estate development, the best developers, projects, designs, and innovations of 2020 were celebrated at this prestigious virtual ceremony
Amid the pandemic, the highly anticipated PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards returned for its sixth year of recognizing the archipelago’s most outstanding builders through a virtual gala event.
As of November 5th, the event livestreamed to unveil the industry’s most sought-after titles to esteemed nominees of Jakarta, Greater Indonesia, and other island markets. Unlike previous years, 2020’s winning developments, developers, and designs were showcased to viewers from all over the world, pioneering great opportunities for Indonesia’s real estate market.
On November 12th, our virtual gala engaged 11,700 viewers across Asia Pacific and beyond. With an integrated live chat feature on the official website of Asia Property Awards, developers of the archipelago were able to connect with one another, along with the wide range of consumers and property seekers from around the globe.
More than 40 awards were presented this year, representing an array of demographics and market segments to appreciate the needs of property seekers all through the archipelago. Sinar Mas Land triumphed four titles at the event, which included the Best Developer award, an accolade it had previously won in 2015.
Another highlight of the night was the exclusive Indonesia Real Estate Personality of the Year award, chosen annually by the editors of PropertyGuru Property Report Magazine. Bapak Alexander Tedja, Chairman of PT. Pakuwon Jati Tbk, took home this prestigious title, celebrating his 38-year legacy in property development.
“Our Real Estate Personality of the Year knows the pulse of the Indonesian market very well. Aside from his popular stable of retail developments, his collection of office buildings have also fashioned the skylines of Jakarta and Surabaya,” said the editors.
“He will be remembered as a master of developing live-work-play environments through his portfolio of well-architected superblocks, townships and mixed-use sites. In the face of Covid-19, he has been able to push through with the development of Superblock Pakuwon Mall, Bekasi – redefining what it means to be a real estate company during the pandemic.”
Masters of the night, Jett Gunther and May Chadanis Khamnuan, captured the audience and kept the crowd mesmerized throughout the whole 90-minute-long virtual gala event.
The 6th PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards is supported by platinum sponsor Kohler; gold sponsor Hitachi Elevators and Escalators; official portal partner Rumah.com; official magazine PropertyGuru Property Report; official PR partner Dreamhub Consultants; official charity partner Right To Play; official ESG partner Baan Dek Foundation; and official supervisor BDO.
