The best of Cambodian developers gathered to celebrate the 8th PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards 2023
Contenders got together, looking forward to the formal night and the announcement of winners among the country’s best
Developers from around Cambodia gathered at Sofitel in Phnom Penh Phokeethra, for the 8th PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards 2023 on Friday, August 18.
As the doors opened at 7:15, developers from all over Cambodia all got together to witness and celebrate the awarding of the different winners. Host Cham Nou Jimmy kicked off the black tie event with welcoming remarks before introducing the first of the distinguished speakers.
The night’s lineup involved the GM of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Events Mr. Jules Kay, the Chairperson of the Judges and the President of the Cambodian Valuers and Estate Agents Association, Mr. Sorn Seap, and HLB International Real Estate Group representative Mr. Paul Ashburn who all gave their own welcoming remarks to the event’s guests.
The four speakers were followed by a reminder of the night’s formal dinner consisting of a French Riviera salad, Truffle Vichissoise, a 12 hour slow-cooked brisket with a side of mashed potatoes and green peas, and a Cambodian chocolate mousse with a raspberry heart all to be served to them throughout the night as they witness the ceremony.

After everyone had settled in, the presentation of the judges proceeded. The panel was headed by its Chairperson, Executive Vice President of Cambodian Valuers and Estate Agents Association Chairperson Sorn Seap. The Central Panel included Residential Director of DA&G Asset Management Jovany Antonio, Managing Director of Urban Asset Solutions Simon Griffiths, COO of Rose Marvel Co., Ltd Dr. Simon Vancliff, PropNex Cambodia Managing Director Thida Ann, Architect and Managing Director at CMED Construction Jenny Chea Sok You, and Deputy Managing Director of CBRE Cambodia Kinkesa Kim. They were joined by Partner and Attorney-At-Law Lim Veasna, Senior design manager from Archetype Cambodia Dilip ABYE, and Siem Reap Branch Manager of IPS Real Estate Agency David Granger.
Mr. Cham Nou Jimmy, after a quick thank you to the event sponsors, presente multiple awards under the categories of design and development. The night was then brought to an end with major and most sought-after awards, namely Best Boutique Developer won by Siha Property Co., Ltd and Best Developer won by OCIC Group.
The ceremony came to a close as the different winners, guests, and developers took a photo on stage and continued their festivities in celebration of the 8th PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards 2023.
