The 2022 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Greater Niseko) programme sets the international stage for shortlisted nominees

Outstanding real estate in Japan’s premier ski resort destination will be showcased to Southeast Asian investors

PropertyGuru Group (NYSE: PGRU), Southeast Asia’s leading property technology company, released today the shortlist of companies and projects nominated to the 2022 edition of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Greater Niseko).

Outstanding hotel and resort developments dominated the shortlist of nominees for the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards programme’s edition in Greater Niseko, elevating the Gold Standard of real estate within Japan. The Awards in Greater Niseko offer a foothold to Southeast Asian investors interested in the hospitality and holiday home segments of the premier ski resort destination.

Blue Waves Group led the shortlist with three nominations for its resort housing project Andaru Collection Niseko while Kookan gained two nominations for its resort project Shiguchi.

Other shortlisted nominees this year are H2 Group, nominated for its project HakuVillas; Nihon Harmony Resorts KK and PCPD, nominated for Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono and Hanazono Resort Niseko; Niseko Village, nominated for Hinode Hills; Terraform Capital, nominated for Cassia Hirafu Niseko; and Zekkei, nominated for Intuition Niseko.

The stage is set for the celebration of Greater Niseko’s finest real estate at the black-tie gala dinner and presentation of the 2022 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Greater Niseko) on Friday, 9 December at The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok in Thailand.

The shortlist of nominees was rigorously selected by an independent panel of judges consisting of Bill Barnett, chairperson of the Awards and founder and managing director, C9 Hotelworks; Acme Wu, marketing director, Niseko Tourism; Eddie Guillemette, CEO of Midori no Ki (MnK); Greg Hough, managing director, Niseko Portfolio and Explore Travel Group; Minoru Okubo, representative director, ResortPropertyJapan Co. Ltd; and Shigeru Uehara, director of Niseko Home Design, Ltd.

The entire selection process was made fair, transparent and credible under the supervision of Paul Ashburn, ASPAC leader at HLB International Real Estate Group.

Top winners of the Awards in Greater Niseko will advance to the black-tie gala dinner and presentation of the 17th Property Asia Property Awards Grand Final, also set for 9 December in Bangkok, where they will compete for various Best in Asia titles. The Grand Final and Awards in Greater Niseko will take place in the same week as the PropertyGuru Asia Real Estate Summit, the thought leadership platform of PropertyGuru.
