Stellar line-up of developers, projects to be honoured at the 6th PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards 2020

Gamuda Land Vietnam, Vingroup’s Pham Nhat Vuong put limelight on nominees for gala event in Ho Chi Minh City

• Gamuda Land Vietnam, SonKim Land Corporation lead nominations tally while 2019 Best Developer Kien A Corporation returns with 8 nods
• Strong representation for industrial developments, masterplanned communities, and urban areas this year
• Pham Nhat Vuong, founder of Vietnam’s largest private conglomerate, will receive the 2020 Vietnam Real Estate Personality of the Year award

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam – 2 September 2020

PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards announced today the final list of nominees for all 49 categories of its sixth annual gala event, set for Friday, 9 October 2020, at the InterContinental Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City.

Leading the nominees for the 6th PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards is Gamuda Land Vietnam with 12 nominations, supported by multiple nods for its Diamond Centery project. SonKim Land Corporation garnered nine nominations, including five for its luxury Ho Chi Minh City condo development, The Crest Residence, also known as The Second Phase of the Metropole Thu Thiem. 

Last year’s Best Developer award winner, Kien A Corporation, returns with eight nominations. Viet Nam Singapore Industrial Park & Township Development Joint Stock Company (VSIP JSC) also scored eight nominations, marking another year of strong representation for industrial development in Vietnam.

Masterplanned communities and new urban areas also appear prominently among the shortlist of nominees. Green Dragon City, an ambitious new urban area by TTP Industrial Development Investment Group Joint Stock Company, has three nominations, including Best Township Development and Best Masterplan Design. Ecopark Tourism and Trade Urban Area is nominated for Best Mega Township Development, one of five nods for Ecopark Corporation Joint Stock Company.

Masterise Homes, a member of Masterise Group, also dominated the tally with multiple nominations each for its Lumière Riverside, Masteri Centre Point, and Masteri Waterfront projects.

This year marks a glamorous milestone for the PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards as it presents the prestigious title of Vietnam Real Estate Personality of the Year to Pham Nhat Vuong – the billionaire founder and chairperson of Vingroup, Vietnam’s largest private conglomerate.

An independent panel of judges helped identify and recognise this year’s shortlist of nominees. The judges comprise Thien Duong, Chairperson, PropetyGuru Vietnam Awards and Managing Director, Transform Architecture; Alex Crane, Managing Director, Cushman & Wakefield Vietnam; Chau Ta, Executive Director – Legal Transactions, SC Capital Partners Pte Ltd.; David McDonald, General Director, WT Partnership (Vietnam) LLC; Duc Truong, CEO, OJS Investment & Consulting Ltd., Chairman, Edison Academy Vietnam Ltd.; Edward Haysom, General Director, HAYSOM Architects Vietnam; Hang Dang, Managing Director, CBRE (Vietnam) Co, Ltd.; Jean-Francois Chevance, Group Director of Hospitality and Design, Archetype Group; John Reeves, Founder & Designer, REEVESdesign; Mauro Gasparotti, Director, Savills Hotels APAC; and Paul D. Volodarsky, Senior Associate, Deputy Head of Regional Real Estate, DFDL Legal and Tax.

The judging panel also includes a team of specialists in the Hanoi market: Andras Germ, General Manager, Astra; Đặng Thành Long, Executive Director, Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC); Dang Van Quang, Director, Hanoi Business, JLL Vietnam; and Tran Quynh Trang, owner of property management firm Sapphire Indochina.

The integrity and fairness of the judging process were maintained at all stages under the thorough supervision of the team at BDO Vietnam, led by Jeffrey Ong Peng, Audit Partner, and Vu Thu Huong, Audit Manager.

Precautionary health protocols will be followed stringently leading up to and on the day of the gala event at the InterContinental Saigon.
