58% of Singaporeans eager to invest in an eco-friendly sustainable home
A survey by leading proptech company PropertyGuru reveals that these respondents are even willing to pay premium prices

Leading Singaporean proptech company PropertyGuru conducted a survey that revealed 58 percent out of 985 participants aged 22 years and above preferred to invest in an eco-friendly sustainable home and are even willing to pay premium prices for it.
As the government plans to transform 45 to 60 percent of new housing projects into green-friendly communities to reduce carbon emission, the citizens have started to adopt a more eco-conscious mindset, supporting various green initiatives.

The survey also discovered that the top three sustainability features these respondents wanted to have in their home were solar panels at 73 percent, smart cooling features at 68 percent and water recycling system at 36 percent.
Among these respondents, high-income households at 37 percent and middle-income households at 32 percent preferred to invest in rainwater harvesting.
Meanwhile, lower-income families chose money-saving features. Around 41 percent preferred pollution-absorbing interiors to save on anti-pollution cleaning and 24 percent wanted rooftop organic farming to spend less on produce.
