Dr. Bay Yeo, Founder and Group Managing Director of Exal Group, to be honoured as the Real Estate Personality of the Year in Australia. The distinction celebrates his leadership in property development, construction, and asset management, as well as his influence in advancing sustainable real estate practices across borders.
Transformative developments in Australia and beyond
Over his career, Dr. Yeo has delivered more than AUD 200 million worth of projects in Australia, spanning luxury apartments to specialist disability housing. Currently, he is leading a portfolio of ambitious developments, including a 916-bed student accommodation project in Perth. Set to achieve a 5-Star Green Star certification, the project also secured the 2023 PropertyGuru Best Student Accommodation Project Award in Australia.
His impact extends internationally, with Exal’s office in Borneo driving a GreenRE-certified, 269-lot master-planned housing estate. More recently, he secured the master plan for a AUD 1.8 billion development in Fremantle, strengthening the pipeline of transformative projects under Exal Group’s banner.

Academic and professional recognition
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Yeo’s expertise is rooted in academic excellence. He holds a doctorate in engineering from Curtin University and has received industry recognition as Western Australia Young Engineer of the Year by Engineers Australia, as well as inclusion in the Business News 40 under 40 list.
