Myanmar Property Awards 2017: The Winners

All roads led to the prestigious Sedona Hotel Yangon on Friday, 30 June 2017, for the third annual gala evening of the PropertyGuru Myanmar Property Awards 2017, supported by co-sponsors Teka and Rinnai.

Marga Landmark, developer of the mixed use project The Central, took home the Best Developer award in addition to earning a Special Recognition in Corporate Social Responsibility and four other awards. “Together with the firm’s notable CSR initiatives, Marga Landmark has become an undisputed leader in Myanmar’s evolving real estate sector,” said the judging panel led by Richard Emerson, managing director of Emerson Real Estate.

Dagon Golf City by Royal Sky Company Limited, The Leaf Residence by IME Property, and Kantharyar Centre by Asia Myanmar Shining Star Investment Co., Ltd. each ran away with two golden trophies during Myanmar real estate’s biggest event of the year that was attended by nearly 300 guests.

Other highlights of the evening were the opening keynote address of guest of honour U Aung Naing Oo, Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA), and Secretary of the Myanmar Investment Commission, and the presentation of the 2017 Myanmar Real Estate Personality of the Year award to Shwe Taung Development Co., Ltd’s Group CEO Aung Zaw Naing, as selected by the editors of Property Report magazine.
