Leading developers shine at the 9th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards virtual edition
The virtual gala applauded Filipino developers’ endurance through the pandemic and their superb achievements
As countries across Asia-Pacific gradually emerge from the depths of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, various industries, including real estate, also recuperate in hopes to return back to their standings before this unprecedented event. Players of the Philippines’ real estate industry have endured such obstacles, and to celebrate their spiritedness, the renowned PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards 2021 returned for its 9th year.
On November 11th, the 2021 PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards, presented by Kohler and supported by Boysen Paints, marked almost a decade of recognising the best of the best in real estate across the archipelago. The virtual gala broadcasted admirable nominees in 46 diverse categories, as well as introduced three never before-presented Developer titles: Best Developer (Luzon), Best Developer (Visayas), and Best Developer (Mindanao).
The virtual gala successfully premiered over AsiaPropertyAwards.com and partner channels, recording the highest number of viewers in real-time with a total of 270 viewers. Alike last year, developers and consumers were able to seamlessly connect and congratulate one another via our live chat feature on the official Awards website.
The 2021 edition of the awards programme honoured outstanding projects in locations as diverse as Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, Metro Davao, Bacolod, Bataan, Batangas, Cagayan de Oro, Cavite, and Rizal. Winning for the second year in a row, SM Development Corporation (SMDC) wrapped up the title of Best Developer in the Philippines, along with 10 other wins. Previous Best Developer titleholder Cebu Landmasters, Inc. also accumulated 11 wins, including the all-new Best Developer (Visayas) and Best Developer (Mindanao) awards.
Furthermore, the Philippines Real Estate Personality of the Year award, chosen by the editors of PropertyGuru Property Report, went to Ramon S. Ang, president of San Miguel Corporation. Ang is commended for his excellent leadership in promoting green energy, building sustainable infrastructures, and supporting Filipinos affected by the pandemic.
Hari V. Krishnan, chief executive officer of PropertyGuru Group, said: “As we approach a decade of upholding the Gold Standard of real estate in the Philippines, we give honour to the transformative power of Filipino developers in every island group of the archipelago. We are privileged to recognise these companies as they represent the continued diversification of the real estate sector, building forward-looking structures of all statures, across various price points, for every kind of property seeker.”
The virtual gala would not be as entertaining and enchanting without the master duo of the night, Kelly Jones-Purves and Jack Prinya Ruenprapan.
The 9th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards programme is supported by the industry’s leading brands, including platinum sponsor Kohler; gold sponsor Boysen Paints; official cable TV partner History Channel; official magazine PropertyGuru Property Report; official PR partner FleishmanHillard; media partners Hoppler, Manila Republic, Presello, Real Estate News Philippines, and The Manila Times; official charity partner Right To Play; official ESG partner Baan Dek Foundation; supporting association Asia MarTech Society; and official supervisor HLB.
