TPr Mazrina Dato’ Abdul Khalid is a nationally esteemed town planner and urban policy leader, currently serving as President of the Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP) (2025–2027). A Registered Town Planner with the Board of Town Planners Malaysia (LPBM) and a Fellow of MIP, she holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Urban Planning) from RMIT University, Australia, and a Master of Executive Business Administration (MBA) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).
With over a decade of leadership at MIP, she has served as Vice President, Honorary Secretary, and Honorary Treasurer, and continues to play a key role in shaping professional standards and the national urban development discourse. She is also a Board Member of LPBM and Chair of the LPBM Accreditation Council, overseeing the accreditation of urban and regional planning programmes across the country. As MIP President, she also chairs the Building Industry Presidents’ Council (BIPC), promoting collaboration among Malaysia’s leading professional and industry bodies in the built environment.

Adj. Prof. IDr Norshafina Ibrahim is an accomplished interior designer who graduated from MARA
University of Technology in Interior Architecture. Early in her career, she gained invaluable
experience in hospitality and institutional projects while working with renowned interior design
practices in Kuala Lumpur. She later ventured into independent work, collaborating with fellow
interior designers, builders & various specialists to explore various design typologies and refine
her craft.
In 2003, at just 25 years old, Norshafina co-founded Skala Design Consult Sdn Bhd, marking the
start of an enduring journey of self-discovery in the field of interior design. Guided by the mantra,
“Only through failure comes success,” she has built Skala Design into a leading practice
recognized for its creativity and precision. As CEO of Skala Design, her firm specializes in Public
Spaces and Institutional Design, with a portfolio that includes some of Malaysia’s most iconic
buildings, such as the Parliament House of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur International Airports 1 & 2,
The National Palace, Seri Perdana, and other high-level administrative offices. Skala Design’s
expertise also extends to corporate and healthcare projects, earning numerous accolades,

As the current President of the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID), Norshafina is a

Dr Lee Nai Jia is the Director of PropertyDoctors (Singapore) Pte Ltd, a real estate content and advisory platform providing data-driven insights on market trends and policies for consumers and industry professionals.
