Hyatt reveals plan to construct Macau’s first Andaz hotel
Expected to open in 2021, the hotel will be built next to the 16,000-seat Galaxy Arena and the Galaxy International Convention Centre
In partnership with Galaxy Entertainment Group, Hyatt Hotels announced their plan to construct the first Andaz property in Macau, scheduled to open early 2021, according to Luxe Living Asia.
Andaz, which translates to ‘personal style’ in Hindi, is renowned for customising the atmosphere of their properties to complement the local culture. For Andaz Macau, guests can expect hints of Portuguese and Chinese influences on the design.
“Macau has many stories to tell and is rich in history and culture. With Andaz Macau, we will work closely with Hyatt to create experiences that truly showcase what is special about this destination, while further contributing to the strength of Macau’s tourism and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industries,” said Francis Lui, vice-chairman of Galaxy Entertainment Group.

Comprising 700 rooms and suites, a bar and restaurant, an Andaz Lounge, an indoor pool, and a cutting-edge fitness centre, Andaz Macau is positioned to be the main hotspot destination for guests, whether for business or leisure.
The hotel will be directly linked to the Galaxy resort complex, which is 1.10 million square metres of art, shopping, entertainment, and dining outlets.
Said complex will also include the Galaxy International Convention Centre (Galaxy ICC), as well as the 16,000-capacity Galaxy Arena with exclusive seating for MICE guests. Both facilities are set to open in early 2021.
