Expanded categories revealed for 2021 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Greater Niseko) virtual gala edition

Developers in popular Japanese mountain resort destination reach for greater heights in wide variety of honours

PropertyGuru Group today announced the shortlist of nominees for the 2021 edition of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Greater Niseko), bringing visibility to fine real estate in Japan’s foremost ski resort destination.

Galvanising enthusiasm among real estate industry leaders in the popular alpine tourist hub, the 2021 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Greater Niseko) programme will be presenting awardees in 12 categories during its 2021 virtual gala broadcast premiere in December.

A wide variety of honours are at stake this year, including never-before-presented Design and Development categories such as Best Mixed Use Resort Development (Greater Niseko) and Best Hotel Condo Architectural Design. The 2021 edition will also present the Best of Greater Niseko awards for the first time, elevating exemplary projects to such high honorifics as Best Hotel Condo Development (Greater Niseko) and Best Resort Housing Development (Greater Niseko).

The companies shortlisted as nominees to this year’s awards include ISA Architects Inc., Marumi KK, Parry (Group) Property Investment & Development Company Ltd, SC Global Developments Pte Ltd, and The Pavilions Niseko KK.

The developments shortlisted as nominees this year include Dharma Niseko (達磨 ニセコ) by Parry (Group) Property Investment & Development Company Ltd; Panorama Niseko by Marumi KK and ISA Architects Inc.; Setsu Niseko by SC Global Developments Pte Ltd; and The Pavilions Niseko & The Ginto Residences by The Pavilions Niseko KK.

The independent panel of judges that determined this year’s shortlist of nominees consist of Bill Barnett, Awards Chairperson and Founder and Managing Director, C9 Hotelworks; Eddie Guillemette, CEO of Midori no Ki (MnK); John Barton, Sales Director, Japan, RSTOR; Maaya Arakawa, Regional Marketing Manager for Oakwood Japan; Milos Kosanovic, Country Head, Elite Havens; Riccardo Tossani, Architect & Urban Designer, Riccardo Tossani Architecture; and Shigeru Uehara, Director of Niseko Home Design, Ltd.

The 2021 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Greater Niseko) will air Thursday, 9 December 2021 on AsiaPropertyAwards.com/tv-podcast and the official live platforms on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube. Highlights of the show will air on the History Channel, the official cable TV partner of the awards.

The 2021 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Greater Niseko) programme will premiere immediately before the 16th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final on the same day. Main winners from the Greater Niseko awards will be able to compete with country winners around Asia Pacific for coveted “Best in Asia” accolades at the Grand Final.

The latest editions of the awards programme for Australia, China (Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macau), India, and Sri Lanka will also take place 9 December in an exciting run-up to the Grand Final.

Meanwhile, the virtual world of the 2021 PropertyGuru Asia Real Estate Summit will launch 8 December with a series of informative, engaging keynote presentations and discussions covering the data landscape, accessible data, sustainable development, and data innovation.

The Grand Final, Greater Niseko awards, and the Summit are all part of the highly awaited series of events known as PropertyGuru Week in December.
