A night to remember at the 2019 PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards
It was a night to remember filled with exciting and positive vibes at the 4th annual PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards, which took place at the fantastic Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra on 3 May, 2019.
More than 370 guests joined this honourable event presented by Kohler, which recognises and celebrates the best projects in Cambodia’s fast-growing real estate market and showcases some of the most innovative developments in the country. The event brought countless networking opportunities and a chance to mingle with key personalities, including Oknha Nito H. Lim, who won 2019 Real Estate Personality title and dedicated his award to his wife, Lok Chumteav Cheam Chinrani, who accompanied him to the gala.
The evening started with an elegant reception, followed by the opening remarks from the director of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards, Jules Kay. Inspirational speeches were also delivered by the chairperson of the judges Sorn Seap, CEO and Director of Key Real Estate, and An Sothea, Senior Manager of BDO in Cambodia, the official supervisor.
“I believe the Cambodia property market will continue to grow fast in the next 5 to 10 years because if we compare with other countries in the region, Cambodia property market still have a lot more potential growth. And I’d love to see the Cambodia property market grow that’s why I’ve been so excited to be part of the PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards which has been involving in promoting Cambodia property market to the region and the world”, said Sorn Seap.

H.E. Dr. Pen Sophal, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction delivered keynote address, and also presented the first two awards of the ceremony. He also reunited at the end of the night with the gala dinner’s top winner Peng Huoth Group, which made history after collecting its fourth consecutive Best Developer gong.
A delicious three-course dinner was served followed by a delightful dessert. Outside the ballroom, a photo booth was set up where guests gamely posed in their gowns and tuxedos.
The highlights were not only the celebrations of the award winners. To make the night extra special, three complimentary roundtrip air tickets were given away via a lucky draw sponsored by the event’s official airline partner, Emirates.
