8th PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards expand list of 2022 categories as real estate market slowly rebounds

More than 60 titles to be presented, recognising the biggest real estate achievements across the archipelago

The PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards, presented by Kohler, will return to Jakarta for its eighth edition to recognise the finest developers, development and design in the archipelago.

The 8th Annual PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards, organised by Southeast Asia’s leading property technology company PropertyGuru (NYSE: PGRU), will be held in a prestigious gala dinner and ceremony at The Ritz-Carlton Pacific Place, Jakarta on Friday, 11 November 2022.

The exclusive, black-tie celebration comes as signs of recovery in the real estate sector emerge, with Rumah.com, Indonesia’s leading property site, tracking a slow upward trend of its Price Index in Q1 2022, edging out the index in Q1 2020.

PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards 2022 follow last year’s successful hybrid gala event, which presented prestigious titles through an innovative blend of virtual and in-person celebrations. The Awards in Indonesia this year include new categories, honouring a greater variety of real estate brands and finer niches in property development.

New accolades honouring Indonesia’s dynamic property sector

Nominees and entries will be shortlisted across more than 60 categories, including the all-new titles of Best Luxury Developer and Best Overseas Developer. Residential and commercial projects can also compete for never-before-presented titles recognising the best completed, transit-oriented, branded, pet-friendly, eco-friendly, smart, and health-oriented developments in the country.

Vivin Harsanto, senior director and head of advisory of JLL Indonesia, is named as the new chairperson of the independent panel of judges, succeeding Doddy A. Tjahjadi, managing director of PTI Architects. The panel of judges conduct an independent selection process supervised by HLB, the global advisory and accounting network. Wahyu Wibowo, partner with HLB Hadori Sugiarto Adi & Rekan (HLB Indonesia), leads the supervisory team in upholding the fairness and transparency of the Indonesia Property Awards.

Main country winners of the Indonesia Property Awards will be eligible to compete for the Best of Asia honours at the 17th edition of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2021, a company from Indonesia, Sinar Mas Land, won the coveted title of Best Developer (Asia) at the 16th edition of the Grand Final. It was one of seven ‘Best in Asia’ titles presented to companies from Indonesia at the culminating event of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards series last year.

The 2022 gala event in Jakarta aims to reach an international audience of consumers, investors and agents by streaming live on AsiaPropertyAwards.com and digital platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn. The PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards virtual gala series, which began streaming in 2020 and continued in 2021, has garnered around 1 million views to date across multiple channels.
