The PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards celebrated its 15th edition on 18 November, marking a special outing for the kingdom’s longest running and most prestigious real estate awards programme.
Thailand’s best, brightest and breakthrough developers converged at The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok for the black-tie gala event and awards ceremony sponsored by Hitachi Elevators & Escalators and JLL.
Serving as the night’s platinum sponsor, Hitachi Elevators & Escalators has been supporting the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards programme for three years. A joint venture between Hitachi and Siam Motors, Hitachi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is one of only two providers of elevators and escalators that have a manufacturing plant in Thailand.
“For over 30 years, Hitachi has been a part of the Thailand property industry, and in the future, we will continue our dedication to providing safe and quality products and services to contribute to the further growth of the industry, by collaborating with everyone here tonight,” Prakasit Phornprapha, director of Hitachi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd., told the audience safely gathered at the hotel’s Crystal Ballroom.
“Hitachi Elevators and Escalators are building systems which are very familiar to the public as well as products that support a safer, securer, more comfortable life in a building. Hitachi’s elevators recorded the world’s fastest speed with their advanced technology.”
Speed is not Hitachi Elevators and Escalators’ only forte, however. In Thailand, Hitachi has expanded its line of products to showcase its “social innovation business” – making people reach their destinations faster via face recognition or sensors with big data analysis, which can be utilised to anticipate consumer behaviour in advance.
“In this sense, Elevators and Escalators are no longer just ‘one of the building facilities’ but important keys to make your buildings more valuable not only for users but also for management,” Prakasit said.
JLL also made the event possible as the evening’s gold sponsor. Suphin Mechuchep, the managing director of JLL Thailand, graced the gala event with her presence on behalf of the world-renowned consultancy.
“The long success of the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards is not a coincidence. The PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards does not only celebrate excellence of property projects, developers and designers but also encourages and inspires the entire real estate industry to raise the bar. JLL has been proud to partner with PropertyGuru in this wonderful awards programme,” said Suphin.
Suphin has been the chairperson of the independent judging panel of the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards since 2016.
“Each year, entries become more competitive as developers and designers demonstrate increased creativity and innovation in the products that they deliver and set new standards for the industry,” she said.
Suphin also reflected on the new realities caused by the pandemic, forcing developers to become more creative and reimagine strategies. “In the next normal, spaces need to be transformed so people and businesses can continue to thrive.
“Together, we will reshape the future of real estate,” she added.
The 15th PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards is supported by platinum sponsor Hitachi Elevators and Escalators; gold sponsor JLL; supporting associations British Chamber of Commerce in Thailand and Green Building Consulting & Engineering; official portal partner DDproperty.com; official magazine PropertyGuru Property Report; official PR partner Vivaldi PR; media partners Hot Magazine, Locanation, Luxury Society Asia, REm Thailand, Robb Report Thailand, and The Bangkok Insight; official supplier GFour Fine Wines & Spirits; official charity partner Right To Play; official ESG partner Baan Dek Foundation; and official supervisor BDO.
