The 9th PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards 2023 gala gathers the finest players in the Indonesia real estate sector
The prospect of becoming one of the 42 award recipients unites competing developers for an evening of festivities and joy
Developers from different real estate markets gathered at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place for the 9th PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards 2023 on Friday, September 15.
The real estate industry in Indonesia has consistently showcased its achievements when compared to other markets, including those in Southeast Asia, China, Greater Niseko (Japan), and even Australia. This awards ceremony remains dedicated to showcasing the most outstanding developers, developments, and designs within Indonesia.
The gala began with warm welcoming remarks from host Sasha Lauder, followed by a video showing what the event has in store for the night and a brief explanation of the awards system. Ms. Lauder then proceeded with the programme and introduced the night’s speakers.
Mr. Jules Kay, General Manager of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events, started of the round of speakers. He was followed by the Partner at HLB Hadori Sugiarto Adi & Rekan- HLB Indonesia, Pak Wahyu Wibowo. Finally, the round of speakers was finished with Country Manager, Ibu Marine Novita.
The three speakers were followed by the introduction of the nine members of the Independent Panel of Judges. The panel was headed by Chairperson Vivin Harsanto, the Senior Director/Head of Advisory of JLL Indonesia. The rest of the panel consisted of PTI Architects Managing Director Doddy A. Tjahjadi, PT Leads Property Services Indonesia CEO Hendra Hartono, Hermawan Juniarto Deloitte Legal Country Managing Partner Cornel B. Juniarto, PDW Architects Co Founder and Design Director M. Archica Danisworo, PT Colliers International Indonesia Senior Director Bagus Adikusumo, PT Meinhardt Indonesia Managing Director Djinadi Gunawan, Indonesia Design Founder and Editor-in-Chief Lina Gan, and Genius Loci Founder and Managing Partner Alex Bayusaputro.
Ms. Lauder then encouraged the guests to enjoy their dinner: poached prawn with tomato mango salsa or lime mint dressing, Italian seafood white bean soup, beef tenderloin with mushroom balsamic jus and gruyere cheese gratin potatoes, and–to bring out the sweeter flavours of Indonesia–Bali chocolate mousse cake with burnt blood orange cream and salted caramel.
Sponsors and partners were presented and thanked as the guests had their meal. Along with a video presentation by esteemed Platinum Sponsor Kohler, the Head of Marketing at Kohler Kitchen and Bath Indonesia, Shreya Malik, also presented a speech.
As the guests settled down, the presentation of awards began. Ms. Lauder briefly explained the panel of judges performed on-site evaluations of the nominated projects within a predetermined time frame.
The awards were divided into three main categories: Design, Development, and Developer awards. After the ten winners of the ten Design awards were announced, a special Publisher’s Choice award was announced. The PropertyGuru Indonesia Real Estate Personality of the Year 2023 went to the President Director of Asiana Group, Ibu Loemongga Haoemasan.
The 23 Development awards were presented next, followed by a speech by the judge panel Chairperson Vivin Harsanto and the presentation of the two highly awaited Best of Indonesia awards. Best Housing Development was won by Layton at NavaPark by PT. Bumi Parama Wisesa, Hongkong Land & Sinar Mas Land Joint Venture, and Special Recognition in ESG was awarded to Sinar Mas Land.
The awarding was brought to an end with the 6 Developer awards. It was at the end of this category where the most prestigious developer in the country was revealed. The Best Developer title was granted to Sinar Mas Land.
With all the evening’s awardees and esteemed guests coming together to the stage for a final group photo and in appreciation of the achievers and their achievements, the 9th PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards 2023 came to an end.
