Mitsubishi Elevator, IHI, and JLL helped bring the search for Thailand’s finest real estate to a satisfying close this year.

Extending its run as the longest-running awards programme of its kind in the kingdom, the 17th edition of the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards was presented 25 November at The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok.

The glamorous black-tie gala celebration was an occasion to showcase Mitsubishi Elevator’s latest vertical transportation systems to developers, investors, and homeowners in Thailand.

“This is our valuable opportunity and honour to be a part of supporting this event,” says Kaori Takahashi, managing director of Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd. “We are very pleased to be a driving force and support to real estate developers, architects, including all parties concerned, to have encouragement and inspiration to create good work and lift the quality of living of the people and society.

“And we believe that PropertyGuru will be a connector in the opportunity to share experience and perspective between us and real estate developers in Thailand.”

For over 45 years, the Japanese brand has been manufacturing and delivering the highest-quality elevators and escalators—even through the Covid-19 pandemic. Recently, the company introduced M’s BRIDGE™, a cutting-edge innovation of maintenance that can check the operation status of elevators 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

“We will design elevators to suit each building type, usage and requirements, as well as market trends, for giving the most benefit to our customers,” says Takahashi. “The best elevator is the most appropriate elevator for the customer’s usability and requirement.”

Another beloved Japanese brand, IHI, lent its support to the long-running awards programme. The gold sponsor of the programme continues to offer automated parking systems and logistics automation solutions with regard for the environment as well as the health, safety and welfare of workers in Thailand.

IHI’s automated parking systems reduce the average idle time seeking for a parking space in Bangkok from 15 minutes to 5 minutes a day—leading to a reduction of approximately 50 tons of CO2 every year. Meanwhile, IHI’s logistics automation systems spare workers from handling dangerous substances and extremely heavy materials, as well as exposure to extreme conditions such as areas for frozen food.

“At IHI, we believe that the property industry will play a key role in shaping a sustainable future, and would strongly back PropertyGuru for rewarding the industry’s key players with SDG commitments through ESG,” says Katsumi Nakayama, the managing director of IHI. “IHI is committed to supporting Thai society meliorating to become the leading smart urban city in Southeast Asia.”

JLL also served as the gold sponsor of the programme. In Thailand, the Fortune 500 company is the biggest international real estate services firm with over 30 years of experience and 1,600 employees.

Specialising in real estate and investment management, the leading professional services firm helps clients find, buy and lease great built spaces; manage property and portfolios; design and deliver projects; transform with technology; deliver strategies; and more.

“Through the recognition of exceptional property developers, developments, and designs, the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards has encouraged and inspired Thailand’s industry to continue to strive for excellence,” says Suphin Mechuchep, the chairperson of JLL Thailand. “This is well in line with JLL’s purpose to shape the future of real estate for a better world.”
