Shortlist of nominees announced for the 7th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Australia)
Modern structures and heritage buildings among impressive range of nominees, pushing boundaries of development, design, and sustainability
MELBOURNE, Australia — PropertyGuru Group (NYSE:PGRU), Southeast Asia’s leading property technology company, today officially unveiled the shortlist of companies nominated for its real estate awards programme in Australia.
The 7th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Australia) will bring together top developers from various states, vying for the must-have prizes in Australian real estate. The gala will be held Friday, 11 October 2024 at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, where winners will receive the coveted golden statuettes.
This year’s shortlist of nominees spans a broad spectrum of the real estate industry, from reimagined heritage buildings to modern homes and high-tech apartments.
Leading the nominations is OSK Property, along with its project BLVD. Blairgrove Group earned nominations for notable projects such as Leichhardt Hotel, The Burwood Chinatown, and The Grand Shanghai Hotel. MRCB International, along with its 26 Vista project, is also nominated.
Other shortlisted developers include BHC Property, nominated for the project Mercer; Hachem Architecture Pty Ltd (The Playford Adelaide – MGallery); Hermitage Building Group (Kingsbridge); Jean Yip Developments (Elements at Carousel); and Polytec Australia (Beauchamp Sydney). Hexa and IFD are nominated for their Lumina Townhomes project while Hexa and Spectre Property are nominated for Found Huntingdale.
Also set to compete at the ceremony are CHT Architects, nominated for 101 Cremorne; FY Property, Kooringa Group, MA Financial, CPDM (Chatswood Garden); Golden Sedayu (Burswood Point); Parallel Workshop Architects (Sculpt Hawthorn); and Scape Australia Pty Ltd (Scape Victoria Street).

The independent panel of judges consists of Ivan Lam, chairperson of the Awards in Australia and executive director, international business, Charter Keck Cramer; Lui Violanti, vice-chairperson of the Awards in Australia and regional manager for Western Australia, Inhabit Group; Benson Zhou, director, hotels, CBD and metropolitan sales and state head, Asia markets, Savills Australia; Catherine Tan, senior interior designer, Interite; Jackson Liew, director, Cameron Chisholm Nicol; Karl Fu, partner, Asian markets, Winning Commercial; Karen Kong, head of property lending, Bendigo Bank; Michelle Tay, group executive director, The SILC Group; Peter Li, general manager, Plus Agency; Richard Newling Ward, director, Bayleyward; Shanker Ramakrishnan, director, SR Business & Finance Consulting Pty Ltd; and Steven Yu, founder and CEO, Valorton Group.
The integrity of the judging process is overseen by Josh Chye, partner and head of tax at HLB Mann Judd – HLB Australasia. The official supervisor is part of the “2024 Network of the Year” winner HLB International, the global network of independent professional accounting firms and business advisers.
Winners of the awards will be eligible to compete in the 19th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final in Bangkok on 13 December 2024.
