PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards seek the finest places to live, work, and thrive in India and Sri Lanka

South Asia’s progressive property markets to raise benchmarks for excellence in development, design, and sustainability in 2025

BANGKOK, Thailand — The PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards programme has launched the latest editions of its Awards in India and Sri Lanka, recognising real estate achievement in two of South Asia’s most progressive markets.

The sixth editions of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (India) and PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Sri Lanka) are set to recognise the finest places in which to live, work, and thrive in South Asia. The prestigious accolades will also honour the exemplary companies behind these projects, raising the bar for excellence in development, design, and sustainability in the region.

The 2025 editions of the Awards in India and Sri Lanka will culminate in an international luncheon and awards ceremony at The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok in December 2025.

Key dates for the 2025 Awards are:

  • 26 September 2025 – Entries Close
  • 7 October 2025 – Final Judging
  • 12 December 2025 – International Luncheon and Awards Ceremony in Bangkok, Thailand
  • 12 December 2025 – Regional Grand Final Gala Dinner and Awards Presentation in Bangkok, Thailand

Renewed focus

The latest editions of the Awards in South Asia come as governments across the region renew their focus on affordable housing, showcasing a commitment to “housing for all.” Authorities across the region are also promoting green building adoption through various initiatives and incentives.

At the same time, investors have renewed attention on the region’s luxury property market, buoyed by ambitious infrastructure developments such as Port City Colombo.

In light of these shifts, the Awards in India and Sri Lanka feature new categories in 2025, including Best Township Developer; Best Community Developer; Best TOD Developer; Best Completed Mixed Use Development; Best Oceanview Condo Development; Best Oceanview Housing Development; Best Multigeneration Living Condo Development; Best Multigeneration Living Housing Development; Best Low Cost Housing Development; Best Renovated Residential Development; Best Renovated Commercial Development; and Best Townhouse Architectural Design.

Fair, transparent, credible

Independent panels of judges will lead a fair, transparent, and credible selection process under official supervisor HLB International, the global network of independent professional accounting firms and business advisers dubbed as the “2024 Network of the Year.”

Celebrating 20th edition

The Awards in India and Sri Lanka are part of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards series, which marks its 20th edition in 2025. Established in Thailand in 2005, the series now boasts a presence spanning 13 countries across Asia Pacific.

Winners of this year’s Awards in India and Sri Lanka can qualify for the 20th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final in Bangkok in December 2025. By the Waters by Suryam Developers LLP won the Best Waterfront Housing / Landed Development (Asia) title last year at the 19th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final.
