Philippines Property Awards 2016: The Winners list

The 4th annual Philippines Property Awards gala was held at the prestigious Fairmont Makati

Megaworld Corporation won four big awards including Best Developer (Philippines) at the Philippines Property Awards 2016 annual gala dinner held on Thursday evening, 7 April at the Fairmont Makati. The Dr Andrew L Tan-led company also collected 13 Highly Commended certificates.

The awards, presented by Hansgrohe, was organised by PropertyGuru, Asia’s leading property portal group. A total of 27 trophies were given away to the Philippines’ best developers and projects, covering Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao. A new category for Best Boutique Developer, won by Cebu-based AppleOne Properties Inc, debuted this year.

Major winners included last year’s Best Developer, the SM Group, as well as ArthaLand, Century Properties Group and Vista Land Group, whose chairman and founder, Manuel B Villar Jr, was the recipient of the Real Estate Personality of the Year award given by the editors of Asia’s industry-leading magazine Property Report.

The evening ceremony, which was hosted by ANC’s David Celdran, was preceded by the inaugural Property Report Congress Philippines, a high-level forum that discussed the past, present and future of the local real estate industry. Many experts, including current and former Winners and Judges from the Philippines Property Awards, joined the conference.
