Developers from north to south of Thailand applauded at the 16th PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards
The Kingdom’s most prestigious awards programme returns to give distinctions across 37 categories
Thailand, a renowned tourist destination known for its tropical beaches, opulent royal palaces, ancient ruins, and ornate temples, was certainly impacted by the pandemic and travel restrictions. However, as the Kingdom progressively recovers and reopens its borders to visitors, real estate and other industries can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
On December 3rd, the prestigious programme of PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards returned for its 16th edition, announcing Thailand’s winning developers and highly commended awardees. Supported by IHI, JLL, Mitsubishi Electric Kang Yong Watana, and Bathic, the event gave distinctions to great developers, designs, and projects across 37 categories. Broadcasting on multiple digital platforms including AsiaPropertyAwards.com/tv-podcast, titles this year went to a diverse range of developers all throughout the country, from Chiangmai, Bangkok, and all the way down to Phuket and Samui.
Winning the superlative title of Best Developer on the night was Sansiri Public Company Limited, a title it had previously won back in 2013. All-new titles that were presented at this year’s programme included Best Developer (Eastern Seaboard) and Best Developer (Phuket), which went to Maneerin Property and Utopia Corporation Co., Ltd., respectively. Other top winners of the developer categories include Habitat Group Co., Ltd., Siam Sindhorn Co., Ltd, and Idea Development.
Another coveted award at the virtual gala celebration was the 2021 Thailand Real Estate Personality of the Year award. Chosen solely by the editors of PropertyGuru Property Report Magazine, Anuphong Assavabhokhin, Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AP (Thailand) Public Company Limited, accepted the trophy for his leadership in pioneering world-class product and service innovations, supporting Thai SMEs, and growing the company’s philanthropic initiatives.
Anuphong Assavabhokhin said: “This award will keep us motivated and will be the main impetus for AP to stay on its path to continuous improvement as we go on our mission to create and provide the support that enables people to live and enjoy life on their own terms.”
The night wouldn’t go as smoothly as it did without the performance and expertise of Jack Prinya Ruenprapan and Kelly Jones-Purves.
