The inaugural China Property Awards will recognise the best in the Chinese real estate industry, with 24 categories honouring the country’s best developments and developers
After eight successful years in the ASEAN region, Ensign Media’s prestigious Asia Property Awards will be coming to China, Hong Kong and Macau for the first time in 2014. The inaugural China Property Awards will recognise the best in the Chinese real estate industry, with 24 categories honouring the country’s best developments and developers.
The China Property Awards is a joint venture between Ensign Media, publisher of Property Report magazine and Perspective Magazine, which is published in Hong Kong and has organised the Perspective Awards to recognise excellence in design for the past 10 years.
Nominations are open to find the best developments across the whole of Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau. There are categories for Best Residential Development, Best Commercial Development and Best Mixed Use Development for Northeast China (Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia North), Central China (Shanxi, Hehan, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi), Western China (Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Gansu, Xinjiang, Tibet, Qinghai, Sichuan, Yunnan, Chongqing, Guangxi, Guizhou), East Coast China (Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Hainan), Hong Kong and Macau. Best Residential Development China, Best Commercial Development China and Best Mixed Use Development China will be selected from the winners of the regional categories. There will also be additional categories for Best Green Development China and Best Developer China, all selected by the independent panel of judges.
The highly respected judges panel is headed by Ivan Ko, Chairman of the China Real Estate Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong Chapter. The other members are: Shaman Chellaram, Director, Evantis Group Ltd.; Richard Hawkins, Partner, Foster & Partners; Steve Leung, Founder and Managing Director, Steve Leung Designers Ltd; Nevius Glussi, Corporate Director of Development, Asia Pacific, Rosewood Hotel Group; Peter McCaffery, Global Director, Benoy; Nigel Smith Managing Director, Landlord Office Agency, CBRE; Simon Smith, Senior Director, Research & Consultancy, Savills Hong Kong; and Gustav Szabo Senior Designer, Yoo Asia Ltd.

The awards will be promoted throughout the region via a US$1 million ad campaign working with media partners such as Property Report, Perspective, Baccarat, Loft, GoHome.Com.HK, Tsing Tao Daily and others.
Following six months of a rigorous and detailed judging process the awards will be presented at a black-tie gala dinner and ceremony at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 20 November 2014. The exclusive event will also offer a unique networking opportunity for professional realtors in China to meet industry leaders and stay in touch with their peers.
