9th PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards 2023 brings together leading real estate developers
Developers from various regions gathered to commemorate excellence in their field, with the hopes of bringing home one of the numerous awards presented during the event

Last Friday, on November 10th, notable developers representing various sectors of Vietnam’s real estate market gathered at Vinpearl Landmark 81, Autograph Collection. The 9th PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards 2023 marked the celebration of the country’s built environment.
The Vietnamese real estate industry continually pushed boundaries in its pursuit of excellence, setting high standards and promoting sustainable development. The awards ceremony serves as evidence of the sector’s significant accomplishments, offering recognition for outstanding achievements, fostering collaboration, and shaping the course of real estate in Vietnam.

The event began at 7:15 PM with host Thien Vu offering a cordial welcome. Following his introductory remarks, focus shifted to a video presentation offering a glimpse into the upcoming events of the evening. After a brief overview of the awards format and the program ahead, the remaining initial speakers were then introduced.
The series of speakers for the evening began with Mr. Jules Kay, currently serving as the General Manager at PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards & Events. Subsequent speakers included Mr. Jeremy Williams, the Managing Director for Marketplaces at PropertyGuru Group, Mr. Thien Duong, the General Director of GroupGSA Vietnam and chairman of the panel of judges, and Mr. Bach Duong, the newly appointed country manager of Batdongsan.com.vn.

Mr. Vu expressed his appreciation and gave a brief reminder about the dinner while introducing the Independent Panel of Judges. Chairing the panel was Thien Duong, as mentioned earlier. The other members included Hang Dang, Managing Director of CBRE (Vietnam) Co, Ltd; David McDonald, General Director of WT Partnership (Vietnam) LLC; Mauro Gasparotti, Director of Savills Hotels and Founder of WeHub; Paul D. Volodarsky, Head of Regional Real Estate Practice and Hospitality Sector at DFDL Legal and Tax; Jean-Francois Chevance, Group Director of Hospitality and Design at the Archetype Group; Chau Ta, Executive Director of Legal Transactions at SC Capital Partners Pte Ltd; Jack Nguyen, Advisor from Vinacrowd; and David Jackson, Principal and CEO of Avison Young Vietnam.
Prior to the commencement of the award ceremony, acknowledgments were extended to various sponsors and event collaborators. Mr. Vu briefly outlined that a panel of judges had conducted on-site assessments of the nominated projects within a designated time frame.
A total of 38 different awards were given across different categories, including design, development, developer, special awards, and the best of Vietnam. The announcements began with the design category, where a sponsor video from Vasta Stone was shown amidst the awarding. The category was followed by the development category which also held sponsor videos, this time from Delux Professional and Kohler. Head of Marketing of KOHLER Vietnam Limited Liability Company, Ms. Mai Nguyen said a few words as well.
The Best of Vietnam held the single award of Best Condo Development, which was presented to the OpusK Residence by SonKim Land Corporation. Special Awards were announced after the Best of Vietnam before Mr. Vu once again expressed gratitude to the event’s sponsors and partners. The awards under the developer category were the last to be announced, being topped off by the most awaited award of the night. The title of Best Developer in Vietnam for 2023 went to CapitaLand Development (Vietnam).
The 9th edition of the PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards 2023 concluded with a group photo capturing the evening’s winners and esteemed guests assembled on stage as they came together in a celebratory moment, expressing their congratulations to the award recipients.
