7th PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards programme shortlists the nation’s finest developers, projects

Nominees from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City pass stringent selection process ahead of highly awaited gala event

• Top developers from CapitaLand Vietnam to SonKim Land Corporation compete for never-before-presented awards and titles, including Best Luxury Developer and Special Recognition for Landmark Development
• Le Van Kiem, founder and chairperson of KN Group, to receive the 2021 Vietnam Real Estate Personality of the Year award

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam — 2 October 2021

The PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards programme has lined up the developers and projects moving on to its seventh edition, presented by Kohler and supported by Hafele, Dulux and Saint Gobain.

Winners and Highly Commended awardees in 56 categories will be revealed at a special presentation in late November, with the date and format to be announced in the coming days.

Top development companies such as CapitaLand Vietnam; Danh Khoi Group Joint Stock Company; Gamuda Land (HCMC) JSC; Gotec Land; Hung Thinh Land Joint Stock Company; Keppel Land; Masterise Homes – a member of Masterise Group; National Housing Organization, JSC; and SonKim Land Corporation will be vying for a wide range of Developer titles and Special Recognition awards this year, including the never-before-presented award of Best Luxury Developer.

Some of Vietnam’s outstanding residential and commercial launches will also compete for multiple highly coveted awards such as the Special Recognition for Landmark Development, which will be presented for the first time this year. These projects include Define by CapitaLand – Thien Duc Co. Ltd; Grand Marina, Saigon and The Grand Hanoi by Masterise Homes – a member of Masterise Group; and The Opera Residence (The third phase of the Metropole Thu Thiem) by SonKim Land Corporation.

The title of Vietnam Real Estate Personality of the Year, selected by the editors of PropertyGuru Property Report Magazine and the only award not decided by the panel of judges, will be presented to Le Van Kiem, founder and chairperson of KN Group. The award recognises his pioneering work with thriving golf communities and generous philanthropic activities during the pandemic, among other achievements.

An independent panel of judges helped determine this year’s shortlisted nominees. The judges comprise Thien Duong, Awards Chairperson and Managing Director, Transform Architecture; Alex Crane, Founder, Crane & Co, Real Estate Consulting; Chau Ta, Executive Director – Legal Transactions, SC Capital Partners Pte Ltd.; David McDonald, General Director, WT Partnership (Vietnam) LLC; Duc Truong, CEO, OJS Investment & Consulting Ltd. and Chairman, Edison Academy Vietnam Ltd.; Edward Haysom, General Director, HAYSOM Architects Vietnam; Hang Dang, Managing Director, CBRE (Vietnam) Co, Ltd.; Jean-Francois Chevance, Group Director of Hospitality and Design, Archetype Group; Mauro Gasparotti, Director, Savills Hotels APAC; and Paul D. Volodarsky, Senior Associate, Deputy Head of Regional Real Estate, DFDL Legal and Tax.

The judging panel also includes a team of specialists in the Hanoi market: Andras Germ, General Manager, Astra; Dang Van Quang, Director of Strategy Consulting Services, Navigat; Nguyen Phuong Dung, Legal Advisor – DFDL Vietnam Law Company Limited; and Tran Quynh Trang, owner of property management firm Sapphire Indochina.

The stringent supervision of the team at AASC – HLB Vietnam, led by Do Manh Cuong, Partner and Deputy General Director, AASC Ltd., along with Lan Ng Hoang and Hùng Ng Pham, ensured the fairness, integrity and transparency of the selection process.

The 7th PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards will precede the 16th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final and the 2021 PropertyGuru Asia Real Estate Summit during the highly anticipated series of events known as PropertyGuru Week in December.
