Kota Baru Parahyangan

Kota Baru Parahyangan is a self-contained city, forming a new community designed to decongest Bandung and decentralise from the populous metropolis.

The masterplan of Kota Baru Parahyangan takes advantage of the natural beauty of its location. Located beside Lake Saguling at 650 to 900 metres above sea level, Kota Baru Parahyangan maximises the green ambience of its environment, supporting outdoor activities among residents.

The development follows eco-friendly design standards for townships and balances economic, social, and environmental interests in its planning. More than 40 percent of Kota Baru Parahyangan comprises green areas, surrounded by hills, mountains, paddies, rivers, and such.

Despite its relatively new status as a town, Kota Baru Parahyangan incorporates local heritage into its development. The development counts culture, history, and education as three pillars of its foundation.

It adopts local culture wherever it can, using Sundanese names for clusters, house types, streets, and even activities.

Paying homage to history, Kota Baru Parahyangan uses the Garden City concept for its site plan. It also applies Bandung’s Indo-European architectural style to the design of homes, shophouses, and facility buildings.

Kota Baru Parahyangan is known for excellent grade schools and academies, incorporating education into every aspect of urban development. Science workshops and other educational activities are organised often in the township.
