Director co-founded BayleyWard early 2013 with partner Nick Readett-Bayley having arrived in Australia in 2011 from his native London. Richard is Principal Director of Interior Design for the studio with a broad experience in various sectors. He and his studio focus on commercial, multi residential, community centres, luxury private homes and hospitality design.
His eponymous studio is known in Melbourne and Sydney as dynamic, creative and considered. The studio is home to 25 architects and interior designers whom pull from local, European, Asian and the Americas. The diversity of style, sophistication and knowledge is captured in their work.
Richard’s day to day activities see him across design leadership and more recently as Managing Director. His skills include conceptual design, spatial planning, visioning and design leadership. His knowledge further extends to understanding and driving current trends in design, branding, market targeting, and problem solving. With recent nominations by Belle and Vogue Magazine and Design Institute of Australia and various localised industry awards.
