New Asia Property was set up by Tony Picon, previously Managing Director of Colliers International in Myanmar, who starting operating Colliers in Myanmar in 2011 where he was responsible for the first ever Yangon property research reports. Tony built up a strong research & consultancy team that still leads the market. Tony Picon also wrote the first ever Vientiane, Laos reports and worked in Thailand and Vietnam as well as having knowledge and extensive contacts in Cambodia and Bangladesh. The vision of New Asia Property is to develop the best property advisory services for the frontier markets, supporting both local companies looking to develop their capabilities and foreign investors wishing to enter the markets. Charm May Thu started her real estate career in Singapore in 2006. She has been practicing as a licensed real estate professional in Singapore’s largest real estate agency -“ERA Real Estate”.
Being a Burmese national, promoting real estate in a foreign land was not an easy journey as one would expect but her will to succeed at this very career overtook any barriers and she made her path by creatively tapping onto the niche market of serving Burmese HNWIs (High Net Worth Individuals) looking to invest in Singapore properties.
In 2014 as her real estate career took its natural course back to her roots she set up shop in Myanmar hoping to bring Myanmar Real Estate to greater heights and a chance to contribute her expertise to her motherland.
She has received multiple top achievers awards in ERA real estate from 2011 to 2019 and is a member of the ERA Million Dollar Club.

Ben is a New Zealand qualified commercial lawyer, having lived and worked in Myanmar for four years. Prior to coming to Myanmar, he was at a leading Auckland law firm, where he advised on a range of real estate projects. At Stephenson Harwood Myanmar, Ben advises a range of high profile clients (including listed corporates) on diverse and substantial investment and market entry projects. Ben has advised on permitting and structuring for some premier real estate projects in Yangon.

Stephen Zawmoe Shwe
Stephen Zawmoe Shwe was born and raised in Ahlone township of Yangon. After attending one year at Rangoon Institute of Technology he went on to the United States and received his B.A. in Architecture degree from University of California, Berkeley and M.Arch. degree from Columbia University where he won prominent design awards including the SOM Foundation Architecture Fellowship and the AIA Allwork Scholarship Award. He worked for seven years as an Associate at Tecny Group in New York, where he oversaw the design and construction of numerous residential and commercial projects. He started out SPiNE Architects office of Myanmar in 2003. He now has 23 years of experience in architecture, interior design and project management and has completed well over 200 projects through construction. He has been contributing for the architecture profession by giving out seminars to young architects and teaching architecture students. A few cyclone shelters he designed were built throughout the delta area after Cyclone Nargis and he has been donating his time and knowledge for designing new contemporary Buddhist monasteries and meditation centers.

Andrew has over fifteen years’ experience delivering buildings projects in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Myanmar. Andrew has served as the principal Beca contact and design manager for complex projects such as airports, data centres, commercial green buildings, distribution centres, shopping malls, office fitouts and large condominiums. Currently Andrew is based in Yangon with his family and serves as Country Manager for Myanmar and as Job Director on a number of projects. Andrew is a registered International Professional Engineer by Engineering New Zealand and a Registered PE (RLPE) with the Myanmar Engineering Council. Andrew also serves as President of the New Zealand Myanmar Chamber of Commerce.

Born in Mandalay, Zaw moved to London, in the UK, in 1993. There he studied at St James Independent School, in Middlesex, before attending the University of Warwick. Zaw is a chartered accountant, and an active member of the Institute of Charted accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He worked for BDO in the UK, before moving back to Myanmar in 2016, to help establish BDO in Yangon. In 2018 he moved to the City Mart group (CMHL), where he is currently the Financial Controller for a number of business units, including its shopping center construction and management arm, City Properties.

Dr Soe Thein obtained PhD in Civil Engineering from NUS. He involved in construction industry in Singapore and Myanmar. He is Advisor to YCDC and member of Professional Assessment Group at Myanmar Engineering Council. He was also the Lecturer at Civil Engineering Department at Yangon Technological University.

Khin Maung Than is the chairman and Founder of Myanmar Real Estate Services Association (MRESA), a national level estate association located in Yangon. He is also the Chairman of ASEAN Real Estate Network Alliance (ARENA). Putting together a background of business and estate management, Khin is a creative thinker who excels in communication, networking, and negotiating skills. Khin is an active real estate speaker and has spoken for various events and conferences both locally and internationally. An active voice for the real estate industry in Myanmar, Khin was elected as the Chairman of MRESA for two consecutive terms. He has had many overseas experience in business, and also participated in social works.

Richard Moh
Richard Moh has an undergraduate degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in engineering management at Cornell University and an MBA degree from Wharton School of Management. Having lived in many countries (Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and USA), he brings a unique set of skills to the company management. He is responsible for the corporate development of MAA Group, which includes general management improvements, and the development of new ideas such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) since 2009. He is also passionate about the civil engineering community and fostering the next generation of engineers, serving as Chairman of Young Engineers Committee, Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE) and the member of Youth Talent Working Group of the FEIAP (Federation of Engineering Institutions of Asia and the Pacific) which includes 26 member countries. He is Managing Director of MAA Consultants (Myanmar) Co., Ltd. since 2013, involved many types of infrastructure and building projects, with the aim to enhance the public work quality in Myanmar.
