SKP Chengdu is a revolutionary 260,000 sqm luxury retail and urban park development, setting a new global benchmark for experiential retail. Designed by Sybarite, this groundbreaking destination redefines hybrid retail through a seamless blend of sustainability, high fashion, and immersive design. 

The masterplan reflects an evolution of the iconic SKP architectural style, featuring the signature ‘SKP Curve’—a design language that has shaped SKP’s luxury retail environments for over a decade. The development is anchored by two distinct retail experiences: SKP, representing contemporary elegance, and SKP-S, an avant-garde exploration of future retail concepts. These parallel worlds unfold through kinetic wayfinding and immersive design, guiding visitors on a transformative journey from refined luxury to the cutting-edge of fashion and technology. 

At the heart of the development lies SKP’s ‘Botanical Quilt’—a branded urban park where nature and architecture converge. This landscape is intricately woven with the SKP design DNA, ensuring a cohesive visual identity throughout the site. Across the project, an upscale material palette—marble, brushed bronze, carved Corian, and textured terrazzo—provides a striking backdrop for luxury brands, reinforcing the project’s refined aesthetic. 

SKP-S Chengdu builds upon the success of its Beijing and Xi’an counterparts, envisioning a futuristic utopia where past and present coexist in harmony. A dramatic double-height Gate of Transition introduces visitors to this parallel world, where illusionist Brutalist-inspired columns and bold architectural gestures create a surreal, otherworldly shopping experience. 

With its forward-thinking design, SKP Chengdu is more than just a luxury destination—it is a cultural and architectural landmark redefining the future of retail. 

The developer was named Winner, Best Retail Interior Design (Asia) at the 19th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final, as well as Best Retail Interior Design (Mainland China) at the 10th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Mainland China).
