Imperial Capital ‘Minimalist’ Private Residence
Imperial Capital “Minimalist” Private Residence is a standout courtyard home within a townhouse community in Beijing. Built in traditional Chinese style with modern minimalism, this private residence captures the spirit of simplicity while embracing the ambiance of an oriental retreat.
Deeply influenced by oriental culture and Japanese aesthetics, the homeowner upholds a steadfast commitment to a minimalist lifestyle, making sure that the space remains functional while reflecting the elegance of simplicity.
During the design process, the architect was inspired by the artistic lanes and pathways of Beijing’s communities, reminiscent of the nostalgic charm of the city’s historic hutong. The residence, both inside and out, is adorned with glazed bricks and tiles, red foyers, Taihu Lake stones, an archaistic pavilion, and intricately carved windows.
Transparent glass doors and windows connect the courtyard scenery with the interior, enhancing the sense of openness. Thoughtfully placed openings throughout different areas invite residents to experience the essence of refined, natural living.
