GDCEG Innovation Tower

Guangdong Construction Holdings Technology Innovation Tower is the tallest urban complex in the eastern Tianhe District of Guangzhou International Financial City.

Also known as the GDCEG Innovation Tower, the CNY5-billion project comprises a 248-metre super high-rise tower and 40-metre commercial podium, encompassing super Grade A office spaces, luxury residences, and a boutique shopping mall. The complex consists of four functional areas: retail and commercial, plus corporate headquarters and high-end serviced apartments.

The concept of “natural harmony and scientific and technological innovation” is always rooted in the design “gene” of the project while “Incorporating and Constructing” is adopted as its design concept. The grand, minimalist, unified architectural design reflects the principle of developer GDCEG Holdings to “embrace a wide range of sources,” incorporating architect He Jingtang’s theory of “Dual Perspectives & Triple Attributes.” This ultimately forms a modern high-rise that harmoniously integrates inclusivity, construction excellence, regional characteristics, cultural identity, and contemporary elements.

The design adopts “three-dimensional ecology” and “vertical living” concepts, featuring four vertically distributed gardens from top to bottom: Sky Garden, Scenic Courtyard, Canyon Park, and Hillside Park, creating a multi-layered green building. Working around these gardens, the project incorporates vertical zoning and spatial layouts for apartments, neighbourhood centres, corporate headquarters, public facilities, and commercial spaces. By integrating the gardens with diversified functions, the architecture forms an organic whole that merges three-dimensional ecosystems with vertical living concepts.

The developer was named Highly Commended, Best Office Development (Mainland China) and Best Landmark Development (Mainland China)  at the 10th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Mainland China).
