Mallika Desai Thakker, has a graduate degree in Architecture from the Academy of Architecture, post which she joined Arizona State University for the Masters Program in Architectural Design, along with which she also obtained her LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accreditation. On graduating, she completed a short working stint with Todd & Associates in Phoenix, Arizona, an architectural firm specializing in Condo developments (including assisted living, student housing and luxury condominium complexes) across the South-western states in America. Upon her return to India, she worked with Kapadia Associates Pvt Limited, Mumbai as Project Architect, wherein she worked on several projects, both residential & commercial with prestigious clients such as Lodha Developers and the Piramal Group of Companies. In 2009, she Co-founded her own Boutique Design Firm, Vibe Design Lab along with her husband and fellow architect Mr. Priyal Thakker, and has been an integral part of creatively directing the residential, commercial & retail design projects handled by the firm. Vibe Design Lab has recently segregated into the field of design-build projects and is successfully associated with several large and small clients, most notable amongst which are The Phoenix Group of Companies, Dentzz Speciality Clinics across India, Vardhaman Developers in Ludhiana, Disha-Loharuka Infratech Pvt.Ltd.(DLIPL)in Pune, The Radisson Group of Hotels, Magppie Retail across India, and Bombay Stores, to name a few
