TPr Mazrina Dato’ Abdul Khalid

TPr Mazrina Dato’ Abdul Khalid is a nationally esteemed town planner and urban policy leader, currently serving as President of the Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP) (2025–2027). A Registered Town Planner with the Board of Town Planners Malaysia (LPBM) and a Fellow of MIP, she holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Urban Planning) from RMIT University, Australia, and a Master of Executive Business Administration (MBA) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).

With over a decade of leadership at MIP, she has served as Vice President, Honorary Secretary, and Honorary Treasurer, and continues to play a key role in shaping professional standards and the national urban development discourse. She is also a Board Member of LPBM and Chair of the LPBM Accreditation Council, overseeing the accreditation of urban and regional planning programmes across the country. As MIP President, she also chairs the Building Industry Presidents’ Council (BIPC), promoting collaboration among Malaysia’s leading professional and industry bodies in the built environment.

Recognised for her sound judgment, she has served as the Chief Jury Panel for the Petaling Jaya Smart, Sustainable and Resilient (PJSSR) Community Awards since 2016. She is also the Chief Executive Officer of Urban Scale Studio Sdn. Bhd., an urban and regional planning firm known for its strategic planning and urban development focused on sustainability, resilience, and inclusive city-making.

Internationally, she serves as the Secretary-General of EAROPH International, a UN-recognised organisation headquartered in Putrajaya under the auspices of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT).
