In\u00a0t<\/span>he recently-published\u00a0<\/span>Thailand Consumer Sentiment Study<\/span><\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0<\/span>DDproperty<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0property buyers across all age groups\u00a0<\/span>disclosed\u00a0<\/span>that\u00a0<\/span>the o<\/span>pinion of developers and property agents regarding the future of the market\u00a0<\/span>i<\/span>s the least crucial factor when<\/span>\u00a0they are<\/span>\u00a0making a purchase decision.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The country\u2019s premier property website acknowledged the importance of\u00a0<\/span>local buyers’ confidence when it comes to the success of the property market<\/span> since it<\/span> will <\/span>spur spending and\u00a0<\/span>boost transaction volumes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Their survey uncovered that 75 percent of Thais <\/span>plan<\/span> to purchase a property and more than half<\/span>\u00a0aspir<\/span>e<\/span>\u00a0to do so in the next couple of years.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

T<\/span>hese buyers<\/span>, however,<\/span>\u00a0revealed that they prefer to invest in new properties, which implies the need for developers to continue building.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As for t<\/span>he buyers\u2019 preference,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>DDproperty<\/span>\u00a0fou<\/span>nd that 81 percent of participants were willing to pay higher for an environmentally sustainable residence,\u00a0<\/span>which is something that developers should consider to create product interest and potentially increase profits.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn conclusion, Thais continue to see bricks and mortar as a wise investment asset. Their thirst for new properties will ensure take-up rates for newly launched projects will remain strong, however, at the same time, this will devalue resale properties and is a large mindset to be overcome in the future,\u201d said the report.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
