T<\/span>he real estate market in China is\u00a0<\/span>currently going through\u00a0<\/span>a gender shift as more women are\u00a0<\/span>purchasing<\/span> homes compared to years before when the buyer’s market was primarily male-dominated. Asia Times<\/a> believe that this is a clear indication that <\/span>female talents are now more educated and receive higher salaries in <\/span>major cities.<\/span><\/p>\n

A market survey\u00a0<\/span>conducted by <\/span>e-realtor\u00a0<\/span>Anjuke<\/span> and resource-swapping platform 58.com<\/span>\u00a0revealed that 40 percent of Chinese women are planning to buy<\/span> homes on their own.<\/span> But with the coronavirus outbreak, <\/span>41 percent<\/span> has decided to hold off their purchase plans<\/span>. Around <\/span>83 percen<\/span>t did reveal that they intend to buy a home within the next five years.<\/span><\/p>\n

When it comes to fin<\/span>ancial capability<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>38.8 percent\u00a0<\/span>of their respondents\u00a0<\/span>have the means to purchase on their own,\u00a0<\/span>40 percent\u00a0<\/span>are planning to\u00a0<\/span>invest with their partners, and one-fifth\u00a0<\/span>are<\/span>\u00a0rely<\/span>ing<\/span>\u00a0on their parents.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The respondents of the survey consisted of professional women aged 18 to 40 working in emerging first-tier and first-tier cities.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile<\/span>, real estate platform Beike<\/span>\u00a0saw a spike in<\/span>\u00a0single female buyers of second-hand homes in 12 major cities<\/span>, including Beijing and Shanghai<\/span>. According to them,\u00a0<\/span>47.9 percent of their buyers in 2018 were women, from only 30 percent in 2014.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
