Skyscraping achievements of Putragaya Wahana leader recognised at the 11th PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards<\/p>\n

The 11th PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards included honours for the real estate industry\u2019s finest individual achievements on Friday, with Alvin Gozali, president director of Putragaya Wahana and the visionary behind Thamrin Nine, receiving high praise as Indonesia Real Estate Personality of the Year.<\/p>\n

In gala ceremonies held at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place, Gozali accepted the golden statuette recognising his impact on Indonesian property. The award celebrates career-defining achievements: creating Indonesia’s tallest buildings, the Autograph Tower and Luminary Tower, which together form the crown jewels of Jakarta’s skyline.<\/p>\n

“It’s an honour to be here tonight,” Gozali tells the gathering of industry leaders. “Thank you for recognising our efforts and our contribution to the local landscape.” He extended congratulations to fellow award recipients, noting the privilege of being “among so many experienced and talented developers.”<\/p>\n

Thamrin Nine, the transit-oriented superblock that encompasses the towers, is the culmination of bold attempts to raise Jakarta’s urban stature. For Gozali, who was raised and educated overseas, the project fulfilled his purpose of returning home to elevate both his team at Putragaya Wahana and Indonesia’s architectural ambitions.<\/p>\n

Under his leadership, Autograph Tower achieved more than national dominance; it became the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the achievement, Gozali acknowledged the collective effort put forward by the Putragaya Wahana team: “It really takes a village to build Thamrin 9’s Autograph and Luminary towers.”<\/p>\n

He also credited his success to strong family support, including his brother Leonel Gozali who “always has [his] back.” He also paid tribute to his parents and wife, among others.<\/p>\n

“I would really dedicate this to my late father who’s been a huge fan of architecture and development,” he says.<\/p>\n

Gozali’s global perspective informed his ambitious approach. He personally reached out to the late, legendary architect Eugene Kohn to persuade his firm to design Autograph Tower. The resulting landmark not only echoes great American skyscrapers but announces Indonesia’s readiness to stand tall on the global stage.<\/p>\n

“Tall skyscrapers have always been a strong indicator of the strength of the economy and the country,” Gozali observes. “It forces other nations to acknowledge us or acknowledge the city where you have tall buildings.”<\/p>\n

Thamrin Nine, which took over a decade to complete, represents a new paradigm for urban living. This includes the award-winning Le Parc residences, home to exquisitely designed, centrally located residences for contemporary Indonesian property seekers.<\/p>\n

Despite Indonesia’s progress, there remains significant room for growth in the high-rise sector.<\/p>\n

Looking forward, Gozali issued a rallying cry to the entire industry. “I think we are here to really push the envelope and encourage the city and developers to push higher and further,” he declares. “We are the first and the second supertall in the whole of Indonesia, but I’m sure we will not be the last.”<\/p>\n

His ambition backs Jakarta’s position as Southeast Asia’s largest city and one of the world’s most densely populated metropolises. With the city committed to enhancing infrastructure through transit-oriented development, Gozali sees tremendous potential: “We could even be more productive and push Indonesia to the next level. Let’s collaborate and build a more inclusive and more connected city.\u201d<\/p>\n
