DOT promotes Muslim-friendly destinations and products in the Philippines<\/b><\/p>\n

The Department of Tourism (DOT) opened the three-day Salaam 2024: Travel and Trade Expo in Quezon City on 14th June, increasing the visibility of Filipino Halal and Muslim-friendly offerings across the country, both products and destinations.<\/p>\n

The DOT said this showcase of Halal-certified and Muslim-friendly services highlights the importance that it places on catering to local and foreign Muslim travellers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe global market for Halal tourism is expanding, rapidly presenting vast opportunities for our nation’s economic growth, creating more markets for tourism stakeholders and generating more livelihood for our fellow Filipinos,\u201d Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco said during the expo opening, according to the PNA<\/a> report.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo ensure that the Philippines is well situated to capitalise on this global demand. Our government, under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., is rapidly expanding efforts to promote and enhance Halal and Muslim-friendly tourism in the Philippines,\u201d she added, noting that this initiative is \u201chigh\u201d on the DOT\u2019s agenda.<\/p>\n

Brisbane shines as international delegates attend inaugural global sustainable tourism summit<\/b><\/p>\n

Brisbane hosted the inaugural Global Sustainable Tourism Summit this June, cementing its reputation as one of Australia\u2019s fastest-growing sustainable destinations.<\/p>\n

The Hotel Conversation<\/a> reports that more than 280 delegates and passionate sustainable tourism advocates attended the two-day conference from 5th to 6th June, hailing from every Australian state and territory as well as the Solomon Islands, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Canada, and South Africa.<\/p>\n

Ecotourism Australia, the nation\u2019s peak body for eco and sustainable tourism, organised 62 speakers and 24 keynote and panel session topics, plus an optional pre-Summit Sustainability Tour to ECO Certified attractions and operators in the Scenic Rim Region on 4th June.<\/p>\n

The Summit\u2019s theme was \u201cPeople, Planet, Place, Purpose,\u201d and delegates were inspired to consider the current opportunities, issues, and challenges for a sustainable tourism industry.<\/p>\n

Hanoi market accepts new levels of apartment price<\/b><\/p>\n

Customers accept new levels of apartment prices in Hanoi after surging in the past months, according to OneHousing, a site trading property products and other real-estate-related services.<\/p>\n

Tran Quang Trung, director of OneHousing’s business development, said recently that some investors have launched property products and sold them very quickly. So, the market has accepted the high price levels that were established in the first quarter of this year, he said in VietnamPlus<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Although apartment prices remained high in the first quarter of 2024, Hanoi still had more than 12,000 transactions in both primary and secondary markets.<\/p>\n

The average secondary selling price on the apartment market in the first quarter of this year increased by 14.4 percent year-on-year to VND55 million per sq.m, approaching the investor’s primary price. The secondary prices recorded high levels in most projects in the East and West areas of Hanoi.<\/p>\n
