Malaysia celebrated the best in real estate development and design at this year\u2019s PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia in partnership with iproperty.com.my on 29 November 2022 at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The event, which also marked the return of the programme in person, was hosted by Terence Dass, who opened the ceremony with a word of gratitude to everyone who was present, saying, \u201cThis exquisite night, we gather in person after two long years to pay homage to your tenacity, dedication, and hard work, as we commend all of you who continue to serve as beacons of hope.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Dinner was exquisite, starting with pan-seared tiger prawns on crispy rice cake and mango coulis, served with Waldorf salad topped with walnuts, and cream of cauliflower soup. The main course was char-boiled sea bass topped with eggplant puree, boiled asparagus, and mashed potatoes.<\/span><\/p>\n

For dessert, the guests enjoyed espresso tiramisu, almond biscotti served with a choice of either coffee or tea.<\/span><\/p>\n

An independent panel of trusted leaders and experts provided their unbiased perspectives of the competitors during the Live Judging Days in July 2022 and presented the nation\u2019s finest developers and projects across 55 titles.<\/span><\/p>\n

The winner of this year’s most sought-after title of Developer of the Year was Mah Sing Group Berhad. The company also won Best Affordable Homes Developer and Best Developer (Central Malaysia) on top of Special Recognitions for CSR and in ESG and Sustainable Design and Construction.<\/span><\/p>\n

Matrix Concepts Holdings Berhad won Best Developer (Southern Malaysia), Best Mega Township Development and Township Development of the Year for Bandar Sri Sendayan, Best Lifestyle Landed Development for Clover @ Resort Residence, and three Special Recognitions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sime Darby Property garnered wins for multiple projects, including East57, KL East; Lot 15, Subang Jaya City Centre (SJCC); The Residences III at The Glades, Putra Heights; The Serenade at The Glades, Putra Heights; and XME Business Park, Nilai Impian.<\/span><\/p>\n

Property seekers in Malaysia also had the opportunity to select the 10 finest developers in the country. The People\u2019s Choice Awards, decided by property seekers in Malaysia, went to 10 of the nation\u2019s finest developers, which were CPI Land; GuocoLand (Malaysia) Berhad; Mah Sing Group Berhad; Matrix Concepts Holdings Berhad; Sime Darby Property; Sunrise MCL Land Sdn Bhd; Sunway Iskandar Sdn Bhd; Tropicana Corporation Berhad; UDA Holdings Berhad; and WCT Land Sdn Bhd. The results of the People\u2019s Choice Awards were independently verified by PwC Malaysia.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s recipient of the Malaysia Real Estate Personality of the Year was Tan Sri (Sir) Francis Yeoh Sock Ping, Executive Chairman of YTL Corporation Berhad, who was introduced by Jeremy Williams, Managing Director of Marketplaces at PropertyGuru, as someone who was \u201can advocate of environmental conservation through his promotion of clean and renewable energy initiatives and awareness campaigns, having served on the Nature Conservancy\u2019s Asia Pacific Council.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
