Vietnam will be reopening its borders on 15 March, and according to Nguyen Trung Khanh, director of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), the country\u2019s tourism industry is speeding up preparations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tourism facilities have been closed for two years, and VNAT and local authorities have been working hard to make sure that they are ready for the arrival of international visitors.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is also promoting Vietnamese tourism to target markets through the “Live Fully in Vietnam” campaign and foreign media such as CNN and CNBC, shared <\/span>INQUIRER.net<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Worldwide searches on Vietnam’s tourism bested other tourist destinations, increasing by 75 percent between December and February. Australia, France, Japan, Singapore, and the United States were among those who had the highest number of searches on Vietnam’s tourism, according to <\/span>VnExpress.net<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Da Nang’s Tourism Department collaborated with a private artificial intelligence (AI) developer to develop and deploy Chatbot Danang Fantasticity. It is the first tourism-deployed chatbot tech in Vietnam, which aims to expand the diversity of tourist self-service tools and information channels.<\/span><\/p>\n

OpenGov Asia<\/span><\/a> noted that one of the chatbot’s significant features is the Event Countdown, which helps tourists avoid missing out on any current or upcoming events in the city and can even plan routes to the attractions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Viet Nam News<\/span><\/a> reported that the country\u2019s tourist arrivals went up by at least 71 percent as it welcomed 49,200 foreign visitors in January and February. Foreign arrivals by air accounted for 87.8 percent of the total number of visitors.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tourism sector is planned to attract around 9 million foreign tourist arrivals between 2022 and 2024 under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism’s two-phase tourism recovery plan.<\/span><\/p>\n
