As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, companies in Vietnam say that the widespread in turn has accelerated technological transformation and digitisation, reported Vietnam News<\/a>. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s an irreversible trend. Nowadays we can see everyone is talking about AI, industry 4.0, etc.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Digital platforms expanded the company\u2019s sales soon after COVID-19 first began, in which customers could find property deals on the company\u2019s website and the sales team assisted them in real-time.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTechnology helps keep our operations running and allows us to achieve our goals though there are many interruptions in the supply chain,\u201d he added.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, a recent Visa report called \u2018Consumer Payment Attitudes\u2019 revealed a growing interest in digital banking and other new payment technologies.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Around 77 percent of Vietnamese consumers are aware of digital banking, while 31 percent are\u00a0using\u00a0it.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, there is growing interest in emerging payment methods (83 percent). Biometric payments using fingerprint scans, voice, facial recognition, and retina scan are particularly of appeal.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Numberless cards are also progressively gaining attentiveness with 62 percent of consumers now aware and 77 percent are saying they would use them. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe COVID-19 pandemic has given a tremendous push for all forms of cashless payments across small-ticket categories,\u201d \u0110\u1eb7ng Tuy\u1ebft Dung,\u00a0country manager for\u00a0Visa\u00a0Vietnam and Laos, said.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThese trends have found extremely\u00a0fertile\u00a0ground among Vi\u1ec7t\u00a0Nam\u2019s young and adaptable population, with Gen Z consumers showing\u00a0significant trust and excitement in new payment\u00a0services\u00a0and consumption channels like social commerce.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
