As reported on The Edition<\/a>, the Maldives reopened borders to all tourists from all around the world\u00a0and continues to be\u00a0a safe haven\u00a0for\u00a0travellers, not a quarantine destination.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To guarantee the safety and health of all visitors, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has made it\u00a0compulsory\u00a0for all\u00a0travellers\u00a0to present\u00a0a negative result for the PCR test upon arrival and departure with no exceptions, vaccinated or not.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the company of opening Maldives\u2019 international borders, an abundance of stay options for Indian tourists has also become available.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Visitors can select from an exceptional array of stay options, including resorts, liveaboards, guesthouses, and hotels, that are perfectly located for natural distancing and immersing one with the environment.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

India has overtaken Russia as the number one top source market for tourist arrivals in the Maldives in 2021.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Ministry of Tourism, the country welcomed 32,970 arrivals from India as of February 17<\/span>th<\/span>, 2021, followed by 32,019\u00a0arrivals from Russia.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There has been a huge rise in the number of incoming Indian\u00a0travellers\u00a0for Quarantine Stay packages, but some\u00a0hotel owners\u00a0and Atolls want Maldives to be\u00a0recognised\u00a0as a preferred travel location for couples, families, and friends.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A statement from Reveries Maldives, Laamu Atoll stated, \u201cUntil further notice, we will not be accepting bookings originating from the Indian market and we will not be accommodating any quarantine packages.\u201d <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Maldives is not a quarantine destination, but a\u00a0luxury haven for families, couples, and friends.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
