Nam Long Investment Corporation wins Best Developer (Vietnam), while\u00a0The D\u00e0lat at 1200 Country Club and Private Estate sweeps with 5 awards<\/p>\n

An action-packed evening full of celebration and surprises, the second annual Vietnam Property Awards Gala Dinner saw Nam Long Investment Corporation crowned Best Developer 2016. The housing developer also received a single nomination for the Camellia residential development in Ho Minh City at the country\u2019s biggest real estate event, which was held on 10 June at the InterContinental Asiana Saigon and welcomed more than 400 of the industry\u2019s biggest names. Known for its affordable Ehome brand and the Nam Long Home line for villas and townhouses, Nam Long is one of few Vietnamese developers, and among the first, according to the panel of judges, to attract high calibre overseas investors and development partners. Although it didn\u2019t win in the housing category for which it was nominated, Nam Long took home another top accolade of the year, the Special Recognition in CSR, for creating long-term benefits for local Vietnamese communities via fundraising, sustainable urban planning campaigns and construction of schools.<\/p>\n

Six-time nominee Acteam International Co Ltd, a company of the Centurion Global Group Singapore, almost swept the awards, winning five gongs plus two Highly Commended honours, for The D\u00e0lat at 1200 Country Club and Private Estate condominiums and villas located in Highlands Vietnam. The acclaimed eco-tourism development was also declared the recipient of the Best Villa Development (Vietnam) award, qualifying it \u2013 along with other Best of the Best winners \u2013 to move on to the South East Asia Property Awards grand finals in Singapore this November to compete with the ASEAN region\u2019s cream of the crop. Other big winners in Vietnam that will compete at the grand finals are Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh Stadt by Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh Stadt Ltd, which took home the gongs for Best Commercial, Best Green and Best Office Developments; three-time winner The Hamptons Ho Tram by Tanzanite International, which dominated the hotel categories; and The Nassim by SonKim Land & HongKong Land, winner of the Best Condo Development (Vietnam) award. Presented by Hansgrohe, the second annual Vietnam Property Awards celebrated the achievements of the country\u2019s established and emerging developers, with a total of 22 award categories covering the residential, commercial and resort segments. In addition to the various categories, a special, non-compete award was presented to three-time nominee CapitaLand Vietnam, whose CEO Chen Lian Pang was voted the Real Estate Personality of the Year by the editors of Asia\u2019s industry-leading Property Report<\/i> magazine. Joining CapitaLand Vietnam in 2013 after holding several C-level executive positions in the CapitaLand Group across the Asia Pacific region for many years, Chen has earned a reputation of excellence, especially when it comes to successfully doing business in emerging markets like Vietnam.<\/p>\n

VNREA chairman Mr Nguyen Tran Nam, former Deputy Minister of Construction, attended the Gala Dinner and congratulated everyone for their contributions to the Vietnamese property sector during his keynote speech before the awarding ceremony.<\/p>\n

The guest of honour was Mr Nguyen Tran Nam, former Deputy Minister of Construction and Chairman of Vietnam Real Estate Association (VNREA), who also gave the keynote speech[\/caption] This year\u2019s chairman of the judges, Thien Duong, managing director at Transform Architecture, also thanked in his speech his fellow judges \u2013 comprising experts in the fields of real estate, design, finance, legal and property management \u2013 for participating in the Awards and helping elevate the standards of the local real estate industry.\u201cThe Vietnam Property Awards rewards the highest quality projects in Vietnam and gives them a great amount of exposure at country level and across the region. This year\u2019s Winners and Highly Commended can be proud that they have made benchmark contributions to the built environment while providing high value for money to their customers and investors,\u201d the acclaimed designer said. \u201cThese projects should show a high level of design with a good level of responsibility towards the environment and the people they service as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

The award was presented by judge Rudolf Hever of Alternaty Real Estate (Vietnam)[\/caption] Continuing their long-time partnership with the Asia Property Awards programme, organised by PropertyGuru, Asia\u2019s leading online property group, BDO, one of the world\u2019s biggest accounting firms, supervised the fair and transparent process of the Vietnam Property Awards.\u201cIt\u2019s been a great year for Vietnamese real estate. Tonight we rewarded 20 of the best developers in the country and their outstanding efforts will now be recognised outside Vietnam,\u201d says Terry Blackburn, founder and managing director of the Asia Property Awards, which is now in its 11th year. \u201cRight before the awards gala we also successfully held the first-ever Property Report Congress Vietnam, which was very well received by industry professionals. We believe Vietnam real estate is moving in the right direction, and the awardees this year prove that they are ready to compete regionally with the best of the best in Southeast Asia.\u201d<\/p>\n
