As tourists prepare for the reopening of international, vaccinated travel to the Phuket Sandbox, the island\u2019s real estate\u00a0launches their \u2018Welcome Back Home\u2019 campaign, reported C9 Hotelworks<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Leading up to the Sandbox, Phuket\u2019s private sector has come together in support of its greatest asset, its people. The island\u2019s rich cultural tapestry is the theme of the newly launched \u2018Welcome Back Home\u2019 hospitality community collaboration.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Welcome Back Home\u2019\u00a0is a unique undertaking between the Laguna Phuket, Phuket Tourist Association, Delivering Asia Communications, and C9 Hotelworks. The social media-focused campaign in the\u00a0runaway to 1<\/span>st<\/span>\u00a0July\u00a0spotlights\u00a0the\u00a0voice and images\u00a0of Phuket people,\u00a0reflecting their endurance during\u00a0the pandemic and\u00a0promptness\u00a0to welcome travelers back home in the\u00a0upcoming weeks.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The main component of Thailand\u2019s Sandbox scheme is the aim to vaccinate a baseline of over 70 percent of Phuket residents. Along with local government resources to fight against COVID-19, hotels have opened their doors to host vaccination centres and help achieve the numbers. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ravi Chandran, Laguna Phuket\u2019s managing director who has experienced past events like SARS, the Asian tsunami, and the global\u00a0financial\u00a0crisis,\u00a0said, \u201cThe Sandbox has brought together various tourism\u00a0organisations\u00a0in a way our industry has never witnessed before.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Sandbox has broken down barriers within our industry, and the hope displayed in the determination and spirit is teaching us a true-life lesson.\u00a0<\/span>Welcome Back Home<\/span><\/b>\u00a0is our tribute to acknowledging people first and supporting our local\u00a0neighbours\u00a0and not just relying on Instagram-ready photo libraries,\u201d Chandran added.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With over two days of traveling the length and breadth of the island visiting local villages, markets, and fishing communities, t<\/span>he campaign was shot by Delivering Asia Communications\u2019 Thai photographer and videographer, Thunwa Siripotisorut.<\/span><\/p>\n
