Should have completed at least 5 developments in Malaysia from 2015 to present.

Best Boutique Developer

Should have completed at least 2 boutique developments in Malaysia from 2015 to present.

Best Affordable Homes or Mass Market Developer

Should have completed at least 2 Affordable developments in Malaysia from 2015 to present.

Best Lifestyle Developer

Should have completed at least 2 lifestyle developments in Malaysia from 2015 to present. Lifestyle developers offer additional communal facilities for residents that enhance their lifestyle such as swimming pool, fitness centre, children’s facilities etc

Best Commercial Developer

Should have completed at least 2 commercial developments in Malaysia from 2015 to present.

Best Township Developer

Should have completed at least 2 township developments in Malaysia from 2015 to present.

Best Industrial/Logistics Developer

Should have completed at least 2 industrial developments in Malaysia from 2015 to present.

Best Breakthrough Developer

Open to developers with more than one project with first project launching in or after 2018.

Special recognition awards

Special Recognition for ESG

Special Recognition for ESG All shortlisted developers will be invited to submit details of their ESG activities. There is no direct entry for this category.  The criteria used to judge developers’ eligibility for this award includes:

· Environmental features, systems and technology
· Social responsibility and diversity approaches
· Corporate governance and employee benefits

Special Recognition for CSR

All shortlisted developers will be invited to submit details of their CSR activities. There is no direct entry for this category. The criteria used to judge developers’ eligibility for this award includes:

· Charitable donations and activities
· Positive social impact
· Company funded advocacy

Special Recognition for Building Communities

All shortlisted developers will be invited to submit details of their Building Communities activities. There is no direct entry for this category. The criteria used to judge developers’ eligibility for this award includes:

· Projects’ internal and external infrastructure
· Connectivity of projects with local communities
· Benefits provided to the areas surrounding projects

Special Recognition in Sustainable Design

All shortlisted developers will be invited to submit details of their Sustainable Design activities. There is no direct entry for this category.  The criteria used to judge developers’ eligibility for this award includes:

· Environmentally friendly design features
· Low impact materials selection
· Design durability and lifecycle assessment

Special Recognition in Sustainable Construction

All shortlisted developers will be invited to submit details of their Sustainable Construction activities. There is no direct entry for this category.  The criteria used to judge developers’ eligibility for this award includes:

· Energy efficient construction practices
· Use of waste prevention systems
· Use of renewable resources

Special Recognition for Public Facility 

Chosen by Panel of judges (No direct entry)

Best Luxury Landed Development

Open to houses and villas with an average unit price of more than RM 1,000 per sqft. The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and before December 2023. Must have a show unit.

Best High End Landed Development

Open to houses and villas with an average unit price of RM 500-1,000 per sqft. The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and before December 2023. Must have a show unit.

Best Landed Development (Central)

Open to development with more than 4 units of houses and/or villas with an average unit price of less than RM 500 per sqft. The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and before December 2023. Must have a show unit.

Best Landed Development (Southern)

Open to development with more than 4 units of houses and/or villas. The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and before December 2023. Must have a show unit.

Best Luxury Condo/ Apartment Development

Open to condominiums and apartments with an average unit price of more than RM 1800 per sqft. The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and before December 2023. Must have a show unit.

Best High End Condo/Apartment Development (Central)

Open to condominiums and apartments with an average unit price of up to RM 1,500 per sqft. The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and before December 2023. Must have a show unit.

Best Mid End Condo/Apartment Development (Central)

Open to condominiums and apartments with an average unit price of up to RM 1,000 per sqft. The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and before December 2023. Must have a show unit.

Best Mass Market Condo/Apartment Development (Central)

Open to condominiums and apartments with an average unit price of up to RM 600 per sqft. The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and before December 2023. Must have a show unit.

Best Condo/Apartment Development (Northern)

Open to condominiums and apartments with an average unit price of more than RM 501 per sqft. The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and before December 2023. Must have a show unit.

Best Mass Market Condo/Apartment Development (Northern)

Open to condominiums and apartments with an average unit price of less than RM 500 per sqft. The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and before December 2023. Must have a show unit.

Best Condo/Apartment Development (Southern)

Open to condominiums and apartments. The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and before December 2023. Must have a show unit.

Best Waterfront Development

Open to residential project in any region. The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and before December 2023. Must have a show unit and facing body of water.

Best Mega Township Development (over 500 acres)

Open to township developments with at least one completed building in an ongoing project with over 500 acres. The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and before December 2023.

Best Township Development (up to 500 acres)

Open to township developments with at least one completed building in an ongoing project with up to 500 acres. The development must be completed in the period between January 2020 and before December 2023.

Best Retail Development

The 7th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Malaysia) gala dinner and awards presentation ceremony will be held at the Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur on Friday, 24 July 2020.

Tickets are made available on a first come, first served basis. Exclusive for finalists and event partners only.

More than 350 guests and VIPs attend the gala event, which is exclusive for shortlisted developers, sponsors and partners, comprising C-level and senior industry figures in real estate development, property consultancy, construction, marketing, property technology, legal, finance, and architecture and design. Select members of the media cover the event.
